Weekender 38 mm Watch

I love this watch so much. For the low price, you can instantly feel the difference in quality compared to other affordable watches. It’s kept perfect time so far. The face has a traditional look, with the off-white lending it a slightly vintage look. I’m also glad it isn’t huge, as I have quite slim wrists and some watches just look far too big on me. It’s easy to read, and the Indiglo light works perfectly in the dark - it’s also easy to operate, with a light push of the button. The canvas strap makes it a great everyday watch, but you could easily switch it out for a smarter strap and dress it up a bit for more formal outfits.

Delivery came faster than scheduled which is good, the watch looks nice and smart, good value for money.

Bought for my wife, her old watch died plus it was rather heavy and clunky. This one is very good indeed, not heavy, nice clear face and best of all she can light up the face. Nice strap too.

The Timex weekender is one of the iconic modern classics from Timex, along with the easy reader and expedition models. It’s a simple, no nonsense, tried and tested watch that’s been around for years. Unlike many of the strange sounding brand names of similar price on Amazon, the design is original to Timex and been around for decades. I own some much more expensive Swiss made watches that are very good, but take themselves far too seriously. This is a fun watch that Timex actively encourage you to customise with different canvas slip through nato style straps. It’s called the weekender and it will suit most average people’s weekend activities. It’s a great size for the average wrist and would work well as a unisex watch to share with your partner. What I particularly enjoy is the utter simplicity of the watch, not minimalist contrived simplicity but genuine simplicity. I can’t imagine that there was a moody black and white advertising campaign when this watch was released, extolling how they have removed all unnecessary frills leaving only the essence of a watch, in fact there was likely no advertising campaign at all! It’s made of basic materials, chrome plated brass case, uncoated mineral crystal, fully printed dial, no lume (you don’t need it, the back light is way better). Oh and it ticks really loud! It’s far from the best watch you can get, but it’s all the watch you actually need and this is the whole point of it. I love that it’s time only too, so you don’t even have to set the date every few months. It is the antithesis of luxury and this is precisely why I like it.

I got this to use temporarily each time my normal watch disappears off to Tag for servicing/batteries/resealing so have only needed to wear it for a few weeks so far. If it were a waterproof watch then I would happily wear it all the time; it is comfortable and has a wonderful easy-to-read face. The khaki/olive strap is a really lovely neutral/natural colour that goes with most casual clothing. If you trust the iPhone to be accurate then the watch has lost a minute so far however time accuracy doesn't matter to me too much. I like the indigo feature although haven't ever used it as I habitually press my phone when I need the time after dark. The only down side is perhaps the size: I love it as it makes the face so easy to read however I have a relatively large wrist for a woman and the watch is only just the right side of looking too big on me. The watch does-up on the 3rd strap hole from the face and this means that the end of the strap has to be doubled-back into the restraint loop to prevent it from flapping around (my wrist is just over 15cm circumference). Really happy with the look and the quality; would recommend to anyone provided they don't have a dainty wrist.

The watch keeps stopping. A Christmas present so less than a month old.

What can I say its a timex so quality and price always good, I wasn't sure the watch band was going to be comfortable but to my surprise it's very easy on the wrist. I read/watched alot of reviews on amazon and YouTube and alot said it was a noisy ticker, I on the other hand have not heard it at all unless I physically put it to my ear. Apparently its easy to pull the crown out and thus have a non functioning watch, i havent had this problem at all, and using the indiglow feature at night is pretty simple. What I really like about it is the thickness of the watch case, I prefer not so bulky and this is not bulky the diameter is just right as well. All in all I highly recommend this watch.

I love it, love the size of the face, love the light for the face, it’s comfortable to wear, looks good, I like the self winding mechanism, it’s all good, a great purchase that I use every day. I know I have a click on my phone, this I use because it’s quick and easy plus it’s reliable. I know the phone is reliable but I like this watch and yes it’s quicker.

Zegarek jest ładny, co zresztą widać na zdjęciach. Tarcza ma kolor beżowy, ale nie wydaje się w rzeczywistości aż tak bardzo bezowa jak na zdjęciach poglądowych. Zdjęcia użytkowników przedstawiają ją jednak jako zbyt biała (zapewne wina automatycznego balansu bieli). Bardzo ładny font, świetnie wyglądający wyniesiony pierścień indeksów minutowych. Rewelacyjne podświetlenie tarczy. Koperta elegancka, wykończona na połysk. Pasek lepszy niż się spodziewałem, przyjemny w dotyku, miękki, z dziurkami nawet na najmniejsze nadgarstki. Ale było by zbyt pięknie, gdyby wszytko było tak ładnie. Zegarek jest po prostu głośny. Bardzo wyraźnie słychać tykanie nawet nie przykładając ręki do ucha. Przypomina to tykanie taniego zegara ściennego. Wielka szkoda. Mimo tej wady w tej cenie ciężko znaleźć coś lepszego (a warto poczekać na przecenę, bo kupiłem za 140zl)

Ich bin absolut begeistert von dieser Timex. Das klassisch, moderne und klar leserliche Ziffernblatt macht das Ablesen der Zeit mühelos, und die Indiglo Hintergrundbeleuchtung ist einfach fantastisch. Sie funktioniert einwandfrei und erleichtert das Ablesen im Dunkeln erheblich. Das Tragegefühl ist ebenfalls beeindruckend. Das Armband ist angenehm und reibt nicht, was besonders wichtig ist, wenn man die Uhr den ganzen Tag trägt. Die Uhr passt gut an dünnere Handgelenke und sieht dabei immer noch stilvoll aus. Ein kleines Manko ist jedoch, dass das Armband leicht Flusen von Pullovern aufnimmt, aber das ist eher ein kleines Ärgernis. Ein weiterer Punkt, den man beachten sollte, ist das leicht hörbare Ticken. Es ist etwas lauter, aber persönlich habe ich mich daran gewöhnt, und es stört mich überhaupt nicht, auch nicht beim Schlafen. Alles in allem ist dies eine herausragende Uhr zu einem unschlagbaren Preis. Die Kombination aus klarer Ablesbarkeit, guter Beleuchtung, Tragekomfort und einem erschwinglichen Preis macht diese Uhr zu einem klaren Gewinner. Ich kann sie uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

I got this watch with a black strap and ordered 3 extra nylon straps along with it (blue, green and brown). This watch is so versatile that this goes well with almost every outfit, especially with the extra belts. You can use it with casual outfits, with sporty outfits, with classy outfits and also with suits. Pretty satisfied.

What can I say this watch is classic Timex at its best , wears great easy to read the time and you can pretty much use any type of strap out there so much choice with a 20mm strap width great everyday beater for a bargain price everyone should own one of these in their watch collection.
