HG Grease Away Kitchen Degreaser | Cuts Fat & Oil from Surfaces | 500ml

I've tried a number of kitchen degreasers over the years, and HG Grease Away is easily one of the most effective. It cuts through stubborn grease, cooking oil and built-up grime with very little effort, leaving surfaces looking spotless. I use it on kitchen worktops, extractor hoods, splashbacks and around the hob, and it consistently removes greasy residue without excessive scrubbing. Simply spray it on, leave it for a short time and wipe away—the difference is immediately noticeable. The spray bottle is easy to use and delivers good coverage, while the formula leaves surfaces clean without any sticky residue. It also has a much more pleasant smell than many heavy-duty degreasers. I’ve been using the HG Grease Away Cleaner for a while now, and it’s definitely one of the more effective kitchen degreasers I’ve tried. It comes in a 500 ml spray bottle that’s simple to handle, and the spray quality is excellent — it delivers a consistent, even mist that covers surfaces well without dripping or wasting product. The spray effectiveness really shows on greasy surfaces. It clings well to cooker hoods, splashbacks, oven doors, and cupboard fronts without running off too quickly, allowing it to break down oil and fat effectively. You don’t need to use much for it to work, which contributes to its durability — the bottle lasts longer than expected even with frequent use. As for quality, the formula feels professional-grade. It cuts through stubborn grease quickly, and I rarely need to go over the same area twice. The cleaner also performs well on both metal and laminate surfaces, and I’ve had no issues with damage or discolouration. One of the standout features is its smear removal and smear resistance. After wiping away the product, surfaces come out looking clean and streak-free — especially glass and stainless steel, which are often tricky. It doesn’t leave a film or residue behind, and I’ve noticed surfaces stay cleaner for longer, which suggests some resistance to future smudging. Does the job but not very effective

Used this mainly around the cooker and kitchen worktops, and it’s definitely stronger than standard everyday kitchen sprays. It cuts through grease and oily marks pretty quickly without needing loads of scrubbing, especially on the hob area. I was also impressed with how well it handled older splashes and bits of burnt-on residue around the stove. Letting it sit for a minute before wiping makes a noticeable difference. The downside is the smell — it’s quite strong and chemical-like compared to milder cleaners, so opening a window while using it is probably a good idea. I’d also avoid using too much on delicate surfaces just to be safe. Overall, a really effective kitchen degreaser if you want something stronger for tougher grease and cooking mess.

To be honest, whilst this cleaner has worked and it does cut through mild grease, it is no better than a bowl of hot soapy water. I am disappointed in this and have reverted to normal high street brand cleaning products. We have a very small kitchen where we live during the week and therefore the grease builds up from cooking. We had hoped this would cut through the grease that ends up on the surfaces and appliances but it does no better than if we use hot soapy water. It does have some de greasing properties and works for mild build ups but we need something a little more aggressive.

Awesome degreaser, the BEST cleaning product I've ever used in my kitchen. I used it to degrease and clean all 24 cupboard and drawer fronts on my kitchen before painting them. The paint adhered perfectly to the super-cleaned surfaces. I'd usually use sugar soap solution to degrease and prime surfaces for painting but tried HG Degreaser as an experiment. So glad I did. The grease seems to dissolve within a few seconds of contact with very little rubbing needed. I used a green scouring pad and a microfibre cloth after the spray solution had been left for a few minutes. The smell of the product us quite 'heady' / verging on the unpleasant, but I had the windows and door open to dissipate the smell. It almost smells a little like nail varnish remover, but not as vile. It leaves no streaks and seemed to remove every last trace of grease. Recommended 100%, just as good as sugar soap, only quicker and more convenient in the spray form.

I bought this to try and make cleaning my BBQ a bit easier. It's really good at breaking up surface grease off the grills and flame splitters but on the grease pan it's a little light. It doesn't smell chemically and for my uses it's been good. Not quite as heavy duty as I was expecting but I am very pleased for the price I paid.

Stove tops, chimneys are the most grease-est places ever and this works like a charm! So happy with it. Had to review this as it deserves 5 stars!
