PlayStation 4 Dummy ASIN 21 (PS3)

Not a lot I can say. It's a camera for the ps4. The quality is excellent, even In a dimly lit room the picture is bright and can pick you out of a crowd. You need the camera for games that use the move and it picks up the panel on the front of the controller. It has built in microphones so you can talk to the ps4. Nice touch but it's still quicker with the control. You can start apps etc. it has a lot of features and is a very welcome addition to the console, I fully recommend this product as a must have for the ps4. It's limited game wise at the moment but you with sony there will be a flood of games soon. It's far more responsive than the ps3 camera and the 360 kinect, I can't compare it to the xbox one kinect as I have nothing to compare. It's 10 out of 10 for quality and use, 8 out of 10 for the price, it is worth the money but I think it should have come with the unit as it is quite an integral part of playing and all the things you can do with the system.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product. The picture quality is really excellent. Unfortunately, there are not very many games that utilise this peripheral just yet but I was very impressed with the AR minigames in the Playroom app. I found the response to movement and the light from the controller to be very consistent, despite some clutter around the room. One complaint I would have is that the cable is a little shorter than I expected. I think about a 3m/10ft cable would be appropriate but, then again, the cable provided was just about long enough for my setup. For what it's worth, I think there is potential for some great games that make use of the camera in the future and, obviously, the camera is a good investment for anyone interested in streaming or sharing videos. It is a little expensive, like most products with the Playstation branding, for a peripheral with such limited use at the moment, but the quality of the product is undeniable. It was worth the price for me.

The camera is a bit of a white-elephant at the moment - it's an expensive add-on which no games really make use of yet. But there's the catch - no games companies will develop games which support the camera unless everyone owns the camera - but there's no point buying the camera as nothing supports it... See where this is going? The one thing that does support the camera and make use of all it's features is the Playroom which came free with your PS4 (maybe just maybe to try and coax you into buying the camera, eh?). Oh, and Just Dance 4 but we'll ignore that for now. The tracking is good and you can have a few minutes fun in the Playroom game, but the video quality isn't amazing especially if you are gaming in less than bright conditions (and it seems strange that you'd need to game with all the lights on full to get a good picture - after all gaming in a dark room is always preferred!) There was a recent update to the Playroom which has added a whole new section to discover and explore with an alien you control by using the motion controls so it's good to see Sony have expanded this and has at least given you a bit more to do - let's hope they keep this up. You can also use it to log on the right person using facial recognition and give vocal commands, but these feel a bit of a gimmick and actually take longer to use than the good old controller/menu system, so aren't really reason enough to buy it. The camera itself seems well made and certainly looks stylish. The lead to it is very short though so if your TV isn't near your PS4 you are going to struggle - I had to have my camera mounted to the side of the TV which I'm sure isn't ideal but actually works ok - all credit to Sony. Once (if) games are released which make use of the camera it could become more of a must-have item but at the moment it's only really going to be a mild distraction from the latest games which don't support it. Fingers crossed they are on their way...

So far, so good. This has the potential to be massive but is still a way off from reaching that mark. When more games come out that support the use of it then this is where it'll come into it's own. At the moment it serves it's purpose really well with facial and voice recognitions and on certain games that I've used it on. These being FIFA15 where you can utilise the mics on the camera in order to change tactics and give instructions out in game and also Alien Isolation where the mics pick up sounds that occur in the room that alert the Xenomorph to your presence and potentially give away your location. All in all this fits very nicely to the top of the TV (or where you choose to mount it) for an enhanced gaming experience but it's limited for now but whilst at the time I bought it (sub 40GBP) this is still excellent value for money.

Camera delivers on immersive potential, but the range of compatible games is disappointingly limited

Great product, after using the many games that utilise the camera I can honestly say it has been brilliant owning the PS4 camera! Not just in game perks but also the ability to make use of voice commands, starting the PS4 with face recognition and many more brilliant apps that'll soon be available for the PS4. The delivery was very quick and packaging was brilliant, something which I feel is very important when dealing with expensive technology! However, its not a complete requirement if you own the system, you can easily live your life without a PS4 camera. But I will say if you can utilise it and you have the money to spend then without a doubt go for it. It will be a lovely addition to your next gen console!

Sehr gutes Zubehör für die PS 4. Die Installation ist schnell erledigt, da dies von der PS 4 in vorgegebener Weise regelrecht automatisch erledigt wird - beim Erststart der PS 4 ohnehin, ansonsten nach Auswahl zum Hinzufügen der Kamera. Die Montage/der Anbringungsort der Kamera ist ungewöhnlich, wenn man die Montage anderer Konsolenkameras oder Sensoren bisher nur auf dem oberen Monitorrand kannte. Die Kamera wird in einer Höhe von ca. 60 cm vom Boden montiert. Etwas mehr geht auch (meine Montage bei ca. 75 cm), da die Kamera vom Winkel her verstellbar ist. Unglücklich ist hier in EU, dass eine Montagevorrichtung nicht mitgeliefert wird und lediglich eine kleine doppelseitige Klebefläche beigelegt wurde. Das reicht nach meiner Erfahrung für eine sichere Befestigung nicht aus. Verwendet man anstelle dieses kleinen Klebestücks aber ein Stückchen doppelseitiges Klebeband für Spiegelmontagen oder - wie von mir praktiziert - mit gleichem Klebeband zusätzlich angebrachte kleine Winkel am feststehenden Anschlußteil der Kamera, dann ist eine richtig gute Befestigung gegeben. Besser wäre zwar noch eine Befestigungsmöglichkeit auf der anderen Seite der Kamera, was jedoch nicht möglich ist, weil man sich sonst die Verstellmöglichkeit nimmt. Von dieser keinen etwas unglücklich gelösten Befestigungsmöglichkeit abgesehen, bietet die Kamera bereits mit den mit der PS 4 mitgelieferten Spielmöglichkeiten jede Menge Spaß. Die Kamera funktioniert einwandfrei und dies, sowie das äußerst positive Spielerlebnis lassen mich, trotz er Unzulänglichkeiten und erforderlichen Eigeninitiative bei der sicheren Befestigung, 5 Sterne vergeben. Aus meiner Sicht ist die Kamera zur Abrundung der PS 4 sehr empfehlenswert.

Ottima camera per streaming veloci su Playstation senza l'ausilio di postazioni dedicate. Esteticamente molto bella in linea con il design della Playstation fat. Al suo interno ridiede un microfono molto utile per i comandi vocali e le chat.
