DELF Scolaire et Junior (A1)

This is a very good compilation of exercises for exam preparation junior Delf A1

I bought this for my daughter after having successfully used the DELF Prim A1 (by the same publisher) which was concise, thorough and well written. THIS one is difficult to use, frequently ambiguous and non-sensical. The drawings and diagrams are not very inspiring. The CD with all the dialogue has tracks numbered 1 to 92, although the book is not numbered in the same way, so on the dialogue parts it always takes an awful amount of time to figure out that track 46 on the CD is actually Unit X, Exercise Y, number Z etc. At least this book has answers and transcripts (hence the 2 stars), but you will be better off getting as many past papers as possible and practising with those, or trying another book. UPDATE: This is an update to my original review above. I have decided to give it an extra star because we soldiered through it, working on every exercise and task. My child passed the DELF A1 exam with flying colours and this book, a verb book, past papers and a dictionary are all we used. So perhaps there is a method to the madness, although it was difficult to figure it out on a daily basis.

Cercavo una testo per la preparazione al DELF in lingua francese per il figlio di un amico iscritto alle scuole medie inferiori. Senza perdere tempo in libreria ed ordinarlo, come di consueto, sono andato immediatamente su Amazon e l'ho trovato a prezzo ridotto e disponibile con Prime. Acquistato la mattina, arrivato in 24 ore e consegnato al mio incredulo amico, poco avvezzo alle acquisti su Interne, ma soddisfattissimo sia del prezzo che della velocità di spedizione. Il testo arrivato è comprensivo di CD. Altamente consigliato. Sperando di esservi stato utile auguro a tutti un ottimo acquisto.

The book is not at all a "preparation" for the level A1, it pretends already a knowledge of the language and the exercises are not meant to teach anything but just to repeat what you already should have know. Its totally unusefull if you want to learn the French from 0: it doesn't have tables with conjugations, a vocabulary unit or anything like that. I had to bout another book.
