I was skeptical if this would actually work or not, but it’s been a game changer! I have been using this for a while and it helps make the perfect eggs every single time. It’s so easy to use you just put it in the pot when you put your eggs in and wash the color change until it reaches your desired egg type. It is easy to read when the water is boiling. If not, you can take a spoon to lift it up and check. A simple gadget that is so worth the money.

I purchased one for my mother and one for myself and I'm going to get one more to give to a friend who saw it at my house and thought it was adorable. It works perfectly every time! You pop it in the water at the same time you put your eggs in and the corresponding colors gradually disappear as the temperature increases, so you can monitor exactly how cooked the eggs are getting. Its basically a kind of thermometer, so it is going to be more accurate than a timer because it's going off of the actual temperature in the water. A timer isn't always perfect because the cooking time can vary depending on how cold your eggs are, how many eggs go in the pot, etc. It has been perfectly accurate for whatever type of egg I want to cook. Its such a handy useful item to have in the kitchen. As a little tool that will potentially never stop working, never needs batteries and can never break it is well worth purchasing!

Works well for making hard boiled eggs. Only complaint is that the last layer (hard) is a bit difficult to see the color difference for compared to the egg timer’s base color.

I thought this was silly but since we have trouble timing our eggs around here thought it might help. It actually does. Each color fades away when that stage is reached. For thoroughly cooked but not dried out eggs we went all the way through the yellow. I don't know how much it will actually be used because you sort of have to watch it. But it's cute and fun.

This is worse than useless. For many years I had an egg timer more or less like this one. It told me when my eggs were cooked. Eventually I had to replace it and bought this one, which has no idea what my eggs are doing. Today the eggs registered hard boiled before they were soft boiled. Do not buy this.

Me encantan, don de muy buena calidad, los metes con los huevos crudos a cocer y cuando llegan a la temperatura perfecta te marca un cambio de color cuando ya están en el punto que los necesitas. Y vienen del mismo tamaño de un huevo normal
