Let's start by being upfront about casein protein: It's weird. It has a unique consistency and doesn't mix as nicely as whey in water. That said, you can't beat the Legion Casein protein. My previous experience was with a banana flavor from a different company (rhymes with Shmoptimum Bluetrition) that left me feeling very uneasy about using casein as a supplement. The taste was VERY artificial and chemically. It was nearly impossible to get into solution without a blender and had a very chalky consistency. What I liked was that after dinner and before bed I could have casein as a snack without resorting to high-sugar treats. When the banana stuff ran out, I looked to see what else was available and found the legion protein. I think this stuff is leaps and bounds ahead of the other brand. First, the flavor is a mild chocolate, like a baker's chocolate and gives you the feeling you're eating real food, not a lab product. Second, the consistency is much better than others. It easily goes into solution in a normal blender bottle with a few shakes. Last, you get a great full feeling without any stomach distress or night farts (which is good unless you have a fondness for dutch ovens). If I could, I rate the product at 4.5 stars because the scoops of protein are so large that it's tricky not to spill when retrieving from the bottle and it does require at least 10-12 oz water. That said, I'll be buying again in the future.

Mix 1 scoop with a serving of plain whole milk or 2% Greek yogurt, and it turns into a vanilla cheesecake competitor for dessert with no guilt or extra calories from sugar or fat. Just the right amount of sweetness. Great quality, consistency, and texture for my purpose. Blends well with coffee as well.

I want to give 3 stars but I went for 4 because I will give them one more chance and get a different flavor next time. I’ve been on the hunt for a good-tasting casein protein and decided to try this brand after reading the reviews. Honestly, I have mixed feelings about it. I got the strawberry flavor, but it really doesn’t taste like strawberry—more like an artificial sweet flavor. I am a fond of strawberry so expected a good taste. Its nasty to be frank I wish I could return it for another flavor. I’m a bit disappointed with this one, but I’ll give the brand another shot and try a different flavor next time.

I was looking for a protein cassein protein powder with limited artificial ingredients to replace my current pp and a review led me to this product. Shipment - the bag came with a tear in it and I had to transfer the contents to a freezer bag. Product - I first added the powder to my cottage cheese snack. It did not blend at all to the cc (not an issue with other pp's) and I had to add a bit of water to get it to stick (gross). The taste was just bad all around, bland, chalky, grainy) I tried it again the next morning by adding it to my morning breakfast shake. It did not blend well again (had to scrape the side of the shaker to get it in) and the taste was terrible. I made it half-way through my shake and threw the rest out as it was inedible. I appreciate the limited product ingredients and natural flavorings but to my taste, it is not something I will ever use again. Expensive and a waste of my money. Very unhappy with this purchase.

I've had a love/hate relationship with casein protein for almost two decades. I LOVE the benefits, and that it helps feed my muscles throughout the night, supporting recovery and growth and limiting catabolism (don't wanna lose those gains while you're sleeping :) ). But I HATE casein protein because the flavor is either terrible or loaded with artificial junk (flavors, colors, preservatives) or the texture makes me want to spit it back into my shaker bottle. Legion has come in and solved both issues. I bought both Vanilla and Milk Chocolate. Flavor is easily a 10/10. It even competes with Legion's delicious Whey+ products. But where they really exceeded was the texture. Casein can be gritty, sandy, or sometimes super thick (to hide the grittiness). Casein+ is oh so SMOOTH! If you want a real bedtime treat, make yourself some Casein+ icecream (takes less than 5 mins): 1) Get a decent blender 2) Add 6-8oz of unsweetened almond milk 3) Fill the rest of the blender bottle 2/3 up with icecubes (should be about 8 regular sized ice cubes) 4) Add in 1 - 1.5 scoops of Legion's Casein+ 5) Optional (for extra creaminess) - add in 1/4 TSP of Xanthan Gum powder 6) Blend until the motor dies! You'll have yourself a delicious, low calorie, super high protein, perfect bedtime snack. Your welcome!

First time buying this protein, it's a lot clumpier than other brands and subsequently harder to portion in smaller containers and will fly everywhere. Tastewise it's fine but not the best chocolate flavor I've had. Excited to finish this bag so I don't have to taste it again.

This is the best! If you’re chasing protein macros and want clean quality that’s dependable, then this is it. The cost isn’t cheap, but considering the alternatives it really gives peace of mind knowing I get what I pay for and get the results I want. I get clean protein as needed and the benefit of it being satiating. So, I’m not instantly hungry again. This is really a valuable product for people seriously seeking health goals without the worry of toxins/contaminants. I’m not sure why this product is rated this low in Amazon. The texture and tastes are not that bad at all. Plus, no added sugars and everything that I’ve already mentioned. Good stuff!

I dont like posting reviews especially bad ones but I saw a previous review with similar contamination. I can't tell if this seal was put on the bottle with heat and that's what this is or mold forming I was hoping to use this product tonight but I'm really not sure about it at all now

Tastes pretty good. I usually hate stevia, and the dream would be an unflavored casein; but this was pretty yummy. After hearing that Dr Bill Campbell consumed casein with his breakfast to keep full, I was curious. I tried it and it worked well. It’s a pleasure to drink. No bad aftertaste. If you’re like me and you like the feeling of being full, this is amazing. Strongly recommended.

Honestly I read every review basically.. I had my doubts but decided to go with the side that liked it, I got the vanilla. I tried it for the first time today. The bag was a bit difficult to open like others claimed but I managed with scissors. It smelled amazing. I made two servings for my husband and I - one serving(scoop) with milk and the other serving (scoop) with water combined them and blended in my vitamix together with frozen strawberries and some ice. It was actually super delicious and it blended very well. I really liked it!! Not clumpy like people said but I also used a blender. I would recommend and buy again! Got the vanilla so I could add different frozen fruit.
