AMD's powerhouse in a convenient model and form-factor
NVidia has reigned supreme for years as far as GPU's are concerned, ...that is, until recently. AMD's weakness has always been its inability to compete with NVidia's Ray-Tracing, CUDA, and other technologies, ...as well as instability of their drivers & software. But over the past year, that has all changed as AMD has made some massive strides and improvements in their technology. Even though NVidia still reigns in the video-editing & production and 3D rendering, ...software and driver updates and corrections on RDNA 3, and now, the release of RDNA 4, are threatening to hit NVidia head-on for all other 3DVR and gaming applications. With the problems NVidia has with its new 5000 series line combined with very high prices over all its products versus the performance you get (especially VRAM), AMD GPU's are starting to be more used and accepted by VR and gaming enthusiasts. It depends on your needs and the games and applications you use and run. For most, a GPU like the RX 7900 XTX is a powerhouse monster with 24VRAM and RDNA4 that will satisfy more than enough for most VR and gaming enthusiasts, especially those who need the VRAM and speed vs superior tracing. That being said, this is the go-to card for the ultimate performance in VRChat, which places more demand on VRAM than any other game or application out there (as most can't afford a $2,000 to $3,000 NVidia equivalent). Lastly, there are different brands of AMD GPUs. Sapphire and ASUS are good brands. Keep in mind that if you want the better card, you should consider and go with Sapphire's Nitro+, as this card is made for superior cooling, overclocking, utilizes more power, and will operate more comfortably, but its drawback is that it's BIG (3 slots and very long), requires space and a heavier wattage PS. I chose the Sapphire Pulse because it only takes up 2 slots, its slightly shorter, and works well in a smaller limited space case. It's not really made for overclocking. It sacrifices cooling capabilty and runs on less power, and because of this, it may tend to overheat without supplying extra cooling/airflow measures. However, if you are not planning on "pushing" this card to any extremes, its raw-power "as-is" will be a great solution for a lot of people.

Not for eGPU use. Totally worth the money for a PC build or GPU upgrade.
I really love Sapphire cards. They look great and where other manufacturers make these a two slot and really long card, Sapphire wisely made this a two and a half slot card allowing for the installation into smaller cases. It runs pretty cool, even when maxed out gaming. It's not as fast as an RTX 4090, but it's about $1500 less. Besides, 400 FPS vs 200, you're not going to notice! But I needed a good card for an eGPU. This ain't it. But it's not a Sapphire problem, but an AMD problem. I've tried an RX5700, RX6600,two different RX7800 XTs (one was this one) and a Sapphire RTX 7900 XTX. Any computer it tried the eGPU on benchmarked phenomonally, but regardless of the game, you're getting 20 to 45 FPS. Destiny 2 was my main test game due to the high variability in maps and locations. It didn't matter. The frame rates were all over the place between 20 and 45 fps, even a the lowest settings. Resolution didn't matter. I tried two other eGPU enclosures and got the same results. Putting any of the listed cards in a PC and they're great, especially compared to team greens pricing! I highly recommend this Graphics card for PC use. I do not recommend any AMD based card for eGPU use. If you need an eGPU, go with an RTX 4070 Super. In PC performance was similar, but eGPU use, the RTX was about a 10% performance loss, so the same testing netted nothing less than at least 110 fps.

Amazing for $849
I got this card in early November for 849 and let me tell you this card is amazing. Anyone here to tell you otherwise is genuinely out of touch. No issues no crashes good temperatures and quiet fans. My only complaint is high TDP when idle if you have multiple monitors. Other than that it’s flawless

Amazing
Absolutely amazing card. Especially for the price. I think this is the BEST gpu i have ever purchased. Lots of power and lots of VRAM. I have zero issues while gaming and am very satisfied with my purchase.

Got an A4-H20? It fits. /Barely/.
The stated length is accurate, which is good, because calling this a tight squeeze in the Lian-Li x Dan A4-H20 is an understatement. Like if the front panel of the case didn't pop off (and have a pass-through behind it) there would have been absolutely no way to wedge the card in. I would have been drilling out rivets. Or just sitting there crying. Not noticably louder or quieter than the Zotac RTX 2080 AMP triple fan it replaced, though it definitely pulls more power. Had a little panic attack when I realized I didn't know where the extra cables for my PSU were and spent an hour digging in boxes for the third 8 pin PCIe, but it worked out in the end. Temps are okay so far, but I'll need to upgrade my CPU (Ryzen 5 3600 currently, 5800X3D planned soon) before I see what it can really do. Build seems solid, and the included anti-sag bracket is a nice to have, though not really usable (or needed) in my case thanks to the inverted vertical mount. This is my third Sapphire card, though I've been all Nvidia since the 8800 GTX. So far so good switching back to the red team. Would love to have given Intel a shot , but they just aren't competing on this level yet. I will say AMD's configuration app is clunky and not always reliable (locked up a couple times while doing initial settings tweaks, turning on Freesync and such) compared with Nvidia's main control panel, but things seem to be going in the right direction. GeForce Experience is kind of trash, but at least it's optional - the AMD equivalent seems to be baked in. Mostly went with this over a 4080 because I refuse to support Nvidia's current pricing. It's sad when ~$900 seems comparatively reasonable. Over all happy with it, but $800 would be a lot easier to stomach, and I'm pretty sure it didn't even come with Starfield? Whatever. You can do far worse than this thing, that's for sure. If it drops lower around Black Friday/Cyber Monday, as it almost surely will, and you've been on the fence, jump. :)

Great Value GPU
I upgraded from an MSI 2080 ti Ventus and the performance increase was spectacular. I had to fit this card into a NZXT H510 with a front mounted radiator, and I only had about 12.5 inches of clearance and was happy to see this fitted perfectly. Besides the great performance, this card is very quite cool and really quiet. I used it to create some renderings for a few hours and it didn't go past 62 C at full load. Compared with my older 2080 ti, it is extremely quiet, just a low hum at full load. The only thing to note is that even though it mostly stays at 360W, it does have power spikes at close to 400 W and my PSU of 800W was not handling it. I had to buy another PSU at 1000W. The strength of this card is the massive amount of VRAM. That makes it great not only for 3440x1440 gaming, but also for 3D work as well. I got this on sale at $889, and at that price there was nothing better. Even with the new 4000 Super series, hard to beat this value.

Huge upgrade!
Finally decided to build a new pc for sim-racing after trying to game for years on a heavily upgraded Dell Optiplex SFF with a low-profile RX560 4GB card and 10th gen i7. The difference was night & day. I had already decided on a 7900XTX for my build but finding one for the ITX case I bought was a challenge. I originally bought and then cancelled orders for the XTX Merc & Nitro+ variants of the card after realizing they were not going to fit my case. The Pulse was a perfect fit and is essentially a Nitro+ without RGB & OC bios options along with a much better vapor chamber cooling solution and about $200 cheaper. I was worried about cooling & noise being an issue without the beefy cooler, but the card is very quiet even with 4k gaming. A week after my order, I received a redemption code for Resident Evil 4 Remake. Paired with a 7800X3D, the game looks stunning & runs smooth as butter at 4k hdr with every graphical setting set to 'epic'. Although VR performance is not supposed to be the strong point of this card, it seemed to perform fine to me using an Oculus Quest 2 headset playing Project Cars 2, Assetto Corsa, and Assetto Corsa Competizione with fps in the 70-90 range. A truly incredible upgrade that should last me a while.

Class
Card is class. No faults, so far at least. Powerful, sleek and fairly quiet for a card of this calibre. Shipping was class also. Arrived over a week early. Conclusion: couldn't be happier.

great card.
This is a fantastic card when you're looking for high end performance at a decent price, and i use decent price considering current cost for graphic cards. Realistically, this card will probably drop by 100-200 dollars around xmas, especially if the rumored 7950xtx does release around then. But right now, even for the outlandish cost, its the best bang for the buck when looking at high end cards. hands down beats the 4080 in rasterization, but obviously the nvidia 4080 is better at ray tracing, but not by so much that its higher cost makes it worth it imo. Besides, ray tracing, imo, is over rated sure if you sit there and look at a scene in game you can notice a bit better shadow quality, but if your like me and actually play the games and not stare at a single scene then you probably wont notice the visual difference. And the adrenaline software is heads and tails above nvidia's experience software/control panel......and i was using Nvidia cards for the last 7 years and was totally blown away buy the pure performance of this card and the software..no longer is amd hindered by software like so many claim...I'm no fan boy of either brand. I just want best bang for the buck. No question the 4090 is a faster card, but for 8 hundred dollar difference the choice was obvious for me. The only con is that my existing case didn't have good enough airflow to accommodate this card. It runs hot if you don't have a decent case. I 100% recommend the lian-li 216 rgb or standard version for this card...keeps the temps in control and the case looks great and you cannot beat it at its price point...
