If you’re in the market for this type of product, you’ll be very happy with this as your choice. Thick enough to be very hard to accidentally tear during installation. Daylight looks lovely coming through it. Installs very easily if you just read and follow the simple directions, I’d say foolproof but fools are ingenious people. Not 100% opaque but certainly more than opaque enough, you can only see through it if you put your face right up to it - your modesty should be maintained from all but the most determined Peeping Tom or Peeping Giraffe if not on the ground floor. Recommended. Two suggestions for the manufacturer. One, instead of using clear sellotape to secure the end of the roll for packing, use masking tape - it’s hard to see the sellotape against the clear film. Two, the film on the back that gets removed before installation - instead of being clear, use a film with a grid on the back to make it easier to trim to length.

NOTE: I reviewed this product in 2019. It is now 2025 and the product has not lifted or fallen off, and is as perfect as it was the day I applied it to my bathroom window. END This product is exactly what I expected it to be, and I think looks lovely on my bathroom windows. However, I bought it for privacy and the product is not opaque as described: "these frosted opaque obscure covering films are great for privacy and beauty". I have attached photographs which show that you can still see through the film. It is semi-opaque or, if you like, semi-transparent. However, I do like the product. The colours that show up are extremely subtle so don't expect some kind of prism effect. It doesn't work that way. I took photos under cloudy circumstances, and with direct sun coming through the glass, yet it was only today, with the sun at an oblique angle, that the colours popped up - I think that subtlety makes it the product look more classy rather than gaudy and tacky. Like another customer, it annoyed me that the product was sent in a giant cardboard box, packed with paper, BUT, I would rather that than send it in a packing that cannot be recycled, like polystyrene and some other products. We cannot have it all ways! It also annoyed me that the manufacturers did not consider ease of usage by putting a grid on the peel-off plastic so that customers could easily cut the film without having to resort to rulers and set-squares. As I was only doing a small area, I didn't fuss too much and there is a slight space of about 1/8 in down part of one window but who cares as it hardly shows. The product, otherwise, is easy to apply in that you just spray the glass, cut the film, peel off the clear backing, stick the smooth side of the film to the glass, slide into place, smooth out any bubbles, and Bob's yer Aunty. Hardly rocket science. PLEASE NOTE: I applied this product to double-glazed windows that had a heavy frosted pattern between the glass panes (you can see that in the 'before' photo) and, therefore, it has not been applied to absolutely see-through plain glass. Even so, I was still able to see the green of the lawn outside, obscure though it may be. So if you are looking for totally opaque, this is not it. Hope the four photos help: one before application and the other three after.

So pleased with this. I bought this to go on patio doors to give some privacy. A friend put it on for me without much trouble and it is so very pretty when the sun shines through. It hasn't faded and looks as if is expensive glass. Would definitly buy again if I needed privicy or need to protect items from strong direct sunlight

Le rendu est magnifique et ça rend super bien sur de grandes fenêtres ! Mise en place : Assez facile à mettre même tout seul. Le plus long reste les mesures à faire. Pour ma part, ça a collé sans problème. Il faut bien nettoyer sa fenêtre et mouiller les vitres ainsi que le film. Ne PAS OUBLIER d'enlever la protection du film (il ne se voit pas très bien à l'oeil nu mais il est bien collé au film (prenez un coin c'est facile à séparer). Luminosité : J'avais peur que ça enlève de la luminosité mais comme c'est un mix entre des zones opaques et transparentes ca laisse bien passer la lumière. Couleur : Les couleurs sont visibles comme vous pouvez le voir sur les photos mais cela dépend de l'angle ainsi que du paysage à l'arrière. Les couleurs ne se voient pas beaucoup sur le ciel mais si vous avez un bâtiment en face c'est parfait. Opacité : Si vous vous collez à la fenêtre, vous pouvez effectivement voir à travers (comme mentionné plus haut c'est un mix entre des zones opaques et des zones transparentes). En tout cas, c'est nickel pour les gens qui habitent en ville et qui ont pas mal de vis à vis. Vous aurez de jolis couleurs (le fait d'avoir des bâtiments proches à enfin un avantage...) et le fait que ca soit un peu transparent pas gênant si vous habitez en hauteur (on ne voit rien de l'extérieur à moins d'être vraiment coller à la fenêtre).

Die Folie sah beim Auspacken erstmal ganz farblos aus. Aufgrund der Rezensionen war ich jedoch zuversichtlich und bin jetzt begeistert. Welch wunderschöne Effekte, wenn tatsächlich die Sonne darauf scheint! Bei voller Einstrahlung sieht es nicht nur am Fenster toll aus, sondern ich habe auch einen herrlichen Regenbogen auf meinem hellen Teppich. Ich habe zum ersten Mal Fensterfolie angebracht und mir dazu erstmal 3 YouTube-Videos angesehen. Letztlich war es viel einfacher als gedacht und ich konnte es locker allein machen. Die Trägerfolie lässt sich am besten mit zwei Tesafilmstreifen lösen - einer vorn und einer hinten auf der Folie nah beieinander an einer Ecke. Mit ein paar Ansätzen war es geschafft. Ich habe nicht nur das Fenster mit Spüliwasser besprüht, sondern auch die Folie im Liegen beim Abziehen des Trägerpapiers. Das hatte den Vorteil, dass sich die Folie danach nicht mehr aufrollte und dass sie sich dann wirklich ganz in Ruhe am Fenster platzieren und in Position schieben ließ. Das ist sicher nicht nötig, wenn man beim Abziehen und Anbringen ein Paar weitere Hände verfügbar hat. Bei der dritten Bahn habe ich festgestellt, dass ich dadurch die Folie auch leicht oben und unten zusammennehmen konnte zum Tragen vorm Aufbringen. Nass verklebt sie also nicht an sich selbst. Auf die Weise habe ich die Folie in der Küche besprüht und sie hat dann nicht mein Laminat betropft auf dem Weg durch die Wohnung. Einen verirrten Krümel darunter konnte ich auch später noch problemlos entfernen. Folie ablösen, nochmal Einsprühen darunter, wieder glatt streichen. Dann mit dem Abzieher drüber. An einer maschinell geschnittenen Kante habe ich angesetzt und die andere Seite dann mit dem Cutter geschnitten. Das hat auch ganz hervorragend geklappt dank YouTube. (Rakel an den Rahmen und Cutter zum Fenster, gleichzeitig runterziehen). Der Cutter muss nur wirklich scharf sein für den dickeren Foliendruck. Dann nochmal sorgfältig alles Wasser rausgerakelt. Fertig. Die Folie zeigt ohne jeden Aufwand keine Blasen und hält bis jetzt perfekt. Ob sie sich ggf. wirklich lagern und dann nochmal wiederverwenden lässt, wird sich ggf. zeigen. Einzig nicht so schön bei der "Tulpe": Durch die deutlichen Stengel und die Richtung der Blüten sieht das Muster für mich nur längs geklebt "richtig" und wirklich gut aus. Da sicherlich viele Sichtschutz nur in Teilbereichen eines größeren Fensters anbringen, würde ich mir einen Querdruck des Musters wünschen. So gibt es halt ein paar Nähte mehr. Mit 2m Abstand allerdings kaum zu sehen, wenn man die geschnittenen Teile gut sortiert bekommt. Sieht einfach großartig aus. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
