This is one of my favorite Amazon orders in a while. My husband and I cook with a lot of veggies, and recently decided to start a composting pile in our backyard. This bin is just the right size to keep in the kitchen...since it's just two of us, it takes a couple days at a time of cooking before we have to empty it but during that time, the filter and the lid keep any odors in check. With its outer handle, it's portable enough that I can move it around the kitchen easily to wherever I'm prepping dinner. Then, when it is time to empty it, all you do is pull the inner bin out and then give it a good rinse afterwards to clean it. Easy peasy! Plus it looks super cute and blends in really well with my kitchen decor. As a bonus, it comes with three replacement filters for the lid. What's not to love? This is a wonderful product and I only wish I'd ordered it sooner!

This is the second one we've ordered. Perfect size. Don't want one that is bigger and smells. Thus does not. I removed the inner bucket and use biodegradable bags. This leaves more room. I live the video review that gave it a 1star. Said it was junky and not centered, yet their video definitely wasn't centered as the filming came out upside down. Good work.

I love this. Looks nice on my counter and easy to carry out to my compost.

We use this for scraps for our chickens. I love that it eliminates the smell, but it does still get fruit flies occasionally, and the top will mold if not cleaned regularly. Cleaning is easy, though. Just run the bucket through the dishwasher and wipe down the container with a baby or Clorox wipe. It definitely wouldn't work well for long-term composting, though, since it does not seal and gets moldy. It's just an intermediate for an outdoor compost pile (or chickens, like us!).

It’s perfect for its use. However, the white color is not really white. It’s off a little. Definitely not a pure white. Against my white cabinets and countertops it is not white enough. Otherwise, I love it.
