Trusty old headset
I had worn one of these headsets out years ago. I tried several others since but none worked out well for me. This one seems to hit the sweet spot with Good battery life (lasts all day unless I am talking constantly), the sound clarity is always good, Bluetooth connectivity is always good, it's comfortable enough to wear all day and since it is over the ear it never falls off no matter what I am doing. It's the trusty old headset for me. I haven't experienced one with better all around quality. I always charge it overnight so I cant really speak to the charging speed. The charging connection is really great though with the dock on the case. So much easier than plugging in a cord (as small as this seems I love it).

I love this headset
Headsets are not created equal, and I have four requirements that make a headset good: Comfort - while this one looks uncomfortable, it is actually quite pleasant to wear - with, or without, glasses. I wear this headset daily for at least five or six hours and I forget that I'm wearing it a half hour in. The rubber earpiece sits on your ear, not in your ear. Connectivity and range - This one has typical BT range when paired with a phone, but I get a good 50 to 60 feet (even through walls) when connected via the dongle. Pro tip - If you one of these and one of the Poly Voyager Focus headsets, then you can pair both with the same dongle and use the two headsets interchangeably by just turning power off on the one you're not using. Useful if you use the Focus at your desk and the 5200 when walking around. Sound quality - This isn't suited for listening to music for the noise reduction is outstanding and the sound on the "other end" is just like talking directly into the phone. Because it only fits on one ear, it doesn't reduce external noise for you (hence the Poly Focus), but the microphone does a great job in reducing outside noise. I have a habit of walking around the house when talking on the phone and sometimes walk over to the sink or microwave. The folks on the other side hear none of those distractions. For comparison, I also have a Jabra Talk 45 (also a decent set) but every distracting noise is heard on the other side. Charging and battery life - Battery life is realistically about 5 hours of talk time. This is actual talking/listening time, not "powered on" time, so unless you spend a lot of time on the phone, this should last all day. I generally charge mine every two days or so. Charging is a bit tricky. The battery base, as a concept, is great, but putting the headset into the cradle and making sure that it is in properly is a bit fiddly at times and the blue charging lights aren't very visible. Opening the case and placing the headset inside works far more reliably. As a gadget junkie, I have far more peripherals than I need, and this is one of the few that I'm not planning on upgrading.

Still makes me mad this new company is ripping people off and destroyed the Plantronics name
I used one of the original Plantronics headsets for at least 4 years. I loved it above and beyond all others. I bought a new one expecting the same results. This piece of crap is beyond horrible. I don't care about spending the money. I just want it to work the way it used to. After Poly bought the rights to the Plantronics brand this is the most expensive piece of garbage I have ever used. I used to tell people how great the Plantronics headset was, but now it is over. This is ridiculously bad. It doesn't charge properly. It cuts off in phone calls (tested on old phones and new phones... iPhones and Android both), and the build quality is far from the original Plantronics. They took a great over-the-ear headset (maybe the best out there at the time) and completely destroyed it with cheap materials and programming. I kind of hate this company for taking away something that was so good and creating something so horribly bad. Update: Couldn't use this for my phone, so started using it for my computer. I bought Apple Airpods and they are great. This headset still sucks but works for my computer application. Problem now after only about 1 1/2 years, the battery lasts maybe about 2 hours and continues to get worse. Poly is resting on the Plantronics name and is now producing a product that is inferior of headsets that cost $19.95. They could have left it alone and I would have been a customer for life. Poly knows they are ripping people off and should be ashamed of themselves.

The best Bluetooth earpiece I know
This is my platronics 5200 Bluetooth earpiece. I know y'all are asking what the yellow is on the earpiece. After a couple of years of very hard use and a lot of sweat the rubber started cracking and coming apart right there but because this earpiece is so amazing I took Teflon tape and wrapped it to where it now holds firm. It's still a heck of a lot more comfortable then the can ambo earpiece I bought as a replacement so I've tucked my new earpiece in the drawer and I'm using my old one until it doesn't work anymore and hopefully by then I can afford to get a new one. It's well worth the value for the money just drop more on the back right now it charges quickly and lasts approximately a little bit over 6 hours. The wait is real life you don't even know that you're wearing it yet it is heavy duty. It is the easiest Bluetooth earpiece to use that I have ever run across. I wish I could have afforded to buy a new one but I didn't have the money to be able to do so. But the platronics is well worth the money! Personally I enjoy the 5200 it comes with a neat little charging case it is a lightweight unit but heavy duty Electronics on the inside. I can walk approximately 100 ft away from my phone and still be able to talk on it through this wonderful earpiece.

Poly Voyager 5200 UC Wireless Headset & Charging Case – This is a superb headset that has given me freedom to move around during calls. The has a dedicated dongle that prevents drop outs on calls as I have experienced with Bluetooth only headsets. The battery lasts well and charges quickly. In the case where I forgot to charge the headset, the charge cable can be connected while using the headset. The headset has been used for Teams, Cisco Webex, Slack and Zoom (to name a few) without issue. The mute and volume controls are on the headset which is useful when away from the PC on a call. I can move to any part of the house (away from the PC) and still remain connected to the call. Why I do this is for making coffee, searching for items needed during the call and for other stops needed for those longer calls. I recommend finding a copy of the older ‘Plantronics Hub’ software that makes managing calls better than the new suite in my opinion. The headset is also comfortable for me and I have used it for delivering training where I am on a call for many hours at a time.

I had used this headset as early as 2009. And I was completely happy with it. Now, after 16 yrs, I bought it again. And it's unfortunate that the experience is not as expected. Yes, it works great. Pairing is fine. Sound clarity is great. And noise cancelation is good too... I have used it in noisy places like restaurants and malls and windy places like sitting in an auto. It works great everytime. It is able to connect to multiple devices and maintains two connections at a time. Its UC so works great with Microsoft Teams. But now the bad things First one was not charging through the box. Had to get it replaced. Second one charges but charging is kinda odd... 16 yrs ago, putting headset in the box (vertical or inside) would perfectly fit and start charging. Now it needs to be adjusted a bit to align with charging pins. Next, I have kept it inside the box overnight and say, around 4 out of 10 times, it charges only up to 4 hrs of talk time. The full charge is 6 hours worth. Don't know why. Because the case is fully charged. Sometimes the headset announces that it's charged and talktime is 6 hrs. Which is full. But then it lasts may be around 5 hrs... The charging issues are never seen if I charge the headset directly and not through the box. Next, sometimes if I connect the charges to some other outlet, the box kinda shuts off... like, it doesn't show any indicator lights... dont understand why this happens... I usually have to press and hold the button on that case for some time to see some activity... then it starts charging again. This is all very weird... I think I registered it on the website and it worked. So looks like it is not counterfeit... but this inconsistent behavior is annoying...
