CDE Sprague Orange Drop Capacitors Tone Caps Polypropylene 716P 100V 0.022uF for Electric Guitar Bass

Ahh...The fabled Orange drop. When ceramic discs and green Mylar are too cheap or generic (despite being used and functioning perfectly well in guitars and basses for decades) and paper in oil are way too expensive, these beauties step in. I would describe these capacitors as "reassuranly expensive". Well made, and robust, you can see where your money is being spent. If installed correctly, they function very, very well. I used a couple on various instruments, replacing a ceramic disc on an old bass and a Mylar one from and old Ibanez. The difference is noticeable. The tone control on the bass now works and my old Iceman has sparked into life again (it was completely rewired). They also look really cool, if I'm honest. I can't honestly say they do anything that cheaper capacitors dont. But they do what they do very well. Not sure if they're sprayed with tone mojo at the factory, you may have to supply that yourself. I'm now an Orange drop convert and will not be using anything else in my guitars going forward
