I bought these as a little parrot hospital for a parrot recovering from surgery, who cannot perch or climb until his leg heals. My brother drilled holes in the lid of one, for air, which wasn’t easy because they are made of a more brittle plastic material, and now the lid is ruined, but that’s ok. Annoyed at first at having to buy a set of 2, but that turned out to be great, I can put him in one while cleaning the other. They aren’t 100% clear, but you can see through them, so he doesn’t feel too claustrophobic. (He didn’t tell me this, I am just guessing) The lid fits into two clasps at each end, so it won’t come off by pushing from the inside. After my bird is completely recovered from his surgery, I can use them for storage…though one will have a “ventilated” lid. I like that they are USA made and at least some harmful chemicals were not used, which is important since my bird has to live in them for at least 6 weeks.

We ordered these bins a few weeks before our out of state move. They came quick, without lids, one already cracked bin, and no time now for a return. I've already contacted them twice, in regard to the lids. I don't understand sometimes why, if the product is missing something, why can't you just send the lids! I have an expensive pile of cheap plastic now that I have to find a way to get rid of before the move. Biggest waste of money that I needed. I had to order another set of cheap plastic bins from another company, and they were all very cheap plastic and came broken....all three sets. Now I'm sitting here with all these broken cracked bins that I have to get rid of. Biggest waste of money for crumbly plastic bins, a couple hundred dollars wasted. Should have gone with Rubbermaid....

I ordered these along with several other items all to be delivered on Thursday. Then Amazon split my order, and had this (and one other of my items) postponed to be delivered 2 days later/Saturday. I have porch pirates where I live, so that is why I always sit and watch out my window until they arrive, when I have deliveries scheduled, so I can intercept them immediately. Saturday came and went... and then I was informed that my package was rescheduled for the following day/Sunday. The delivery arrived by Amazon, and on time with a very friendly delivery person. The shipping box was completely intact. Nothing else was shipped inside this same shipping box. But when I opened it, there were many broken plastic pieces. 4 of the 8 handles were also loose at the bottom of the shipping box. Only one of the storage boxes came undamaged--the rest all have cracked plastic and pieces broken off, and one of the handles simply will not reattach from this damage. I will still be able to functionally USE them all, for the purposes that I purchased them, but $70 is a lot of money to spend on damaged goods. If these storage boxes are so fragile and delicate, they really need to be shipped better and with more care. I NEED them, and NOW... so will not be returning or fighting for a refund. Time will tell if they withstand then purpose I bought them for (mostly clothing and other soft or light item storage, so most likely will be okay). Disappointing. If not for the damages, my initial impression is favorable: they are attractive, lightweight, and large enough for my needs. They also appear to stack really well. Just, Buyer: Be Aware. These might not be appropriate for certain storage use--I doubt they would be suitable for anything heavy or rugged use.

The plastic material was thin and brittle. The bins came in a thin box that did not protect the item well. The lids were cracked and the latches fell off. Returned the item.

These were exactly what I ordered and are of good quality. They stack well and keep everything organized and I can easily see through the bin to know what is in the box.
