Keep in mind that I am not a professional; I am just a guy who likes music to sound good and likes making personal audio projects. The monitors look very nice, and they are very straightforward when it comes to hooking up the included cords. Dont be disappointed when hearing them for the first time; they're not made to sound good necessarily. Monitors are supposed to provide a flat response in order for the mixer (you) to get a clear, unbiased reproduction of the sound you are engineering. If you want them to sound better, play around with your equalizer. I have two profiles set up on my Realtek software. One is lively, with a Party preset for the equalizer and the environment set to Room, and the other one is just the default flat sound. You can also play around with the knobs on the back of the main monitor to adjust the highs and lows. The logos on my monitors don't light up when on; I thought they were supposed to. It's not too much of a bummer, but it would've been nice to see. I remember hearing something about breaking in new monitors when you get them. If the sound sounds weird no matter what you do, try playing bass-heavy music constantly for at least 24 hours. I'm pretty sure it is recommended that you do it for a longer time, but it's been a while since I heard how exactly the process works. Now I would like to mention my main issue with my order: the power cord that came with it was not made for the monitor. The monitor takes a figure-8 style plug, but I received one that is round on one side and square on the other. I registered my product on the Presonus website and filed a support ticket last Thursday. After an hour, they apologized for the inconvenience and asked for a shipping address, ostensibly to send me a replacement cord. I provided that information to them, but received no other updates. On Tuesday night, I decided that it was time my Paperweight 3.5s became Presonus 3.5s, and I ordered a power cable myself with one-day shipping. The one I got was the CIMPLE CO polarized double-round figure 8 something or other. It shouldn't be too hard to find on here. It's very cheap if you can hold off on the one-day shipping (which I didn't). For me it was about an extra 12 bucks that I shouldn't have had to spend, but I'm not mad. I'm just glad I can listen to my music without using headphones all the time. I am aware of at least one other reviewer who bought these this month (May 2018) and received the wrong power cord like me, so be prepared for that if you order these monitors, but don't let that put you off. There's nothing wrong with the equipment itself; it's just a packaging issue that may happen. So again, I am not a professional, but I like the way they look on my desk and the way they sound. I definitely recommend them, especially for the price.

To preface, I would describe myself as the poor persons audio enthusiast. I research as best as I can for the right product to buy within the right price point. And I must say that these speakers are stellar! If you have read the other reviews then you'll know what they are saying, at this price point, these speakers perform exceptionally well. I bought these to replace my Sony SS-B1000 which were also pretty great for the price, but they were aging and I needed something different. I was in the search for something smaller that would carry sound through the walls to a lesser extent (roommates). So the fact that these were near-field monitors caught my eye. As of my first day having them: I will say that the clarity of these speakers is magnificent for what they are. They also get relatively loud for compact 25W speakers (massively impressive). The Sonys that I had were 125W per channel, and I think these would get nearly as loud if I could crank them up fully (roommates). But these definitely beat out the Sonys in clarity. I mostly listen to House House House, Techno, Disco, Downtempo, Electronica, and a select few songs in the rap and "pop" genre. These speakers meet my needs in the low end (surprisingly full-bodied), and the mids and highs are clean and crisp. I will see how they sounds after a couple dozen hours of breaking in - which shouldn't be long - but I suspect that they will only improve. They have an ample amount of connections in the back, as many as higher-end studio monitors in most cases. My only caveat with them is that the treble and bass adjustment knobs are on the back of the speaker. This is only and issue for me because of my desk setup (speakers underneath a shelf with monitors above the shelf), as the knobs are a little harder to get to. Other than that, these are awesome speakers. Bottom line, if you are looking for something entry level that is still good quality, go for these, or the bluetooth version (I didn't get the BT version because I have Chromecast audio and Google home so it seemed overkill). -------- Will update if any issues are encountered --------

Trust me, I spent way more than i should on speakers. I am no musician, I am just an average joe who wants a decent speaker for my PC. My Bose companion 2 failed after 11 months of use. My Creative T100 have popping noise issue My Logitech Z625 has wayyy too much bass. I finally found the speaker I've been looking for. - Delivery is fast, received them within a week. Having something sent from UK then to the US and finally to Sydney Australia is just amazing. - Sound quality is great, decent clarity with enough bass. little to zero background noise - Came in brand new with no sign of wear. They look cool too with that mat finish black coating, which is pretty much scratch proof. - The cone is well made, it feels like those cone you would see on a $300 speaker. My only concern now is how long this speaker will last, and if I had to be very picky. my only complaint is that this speaker came with UK adapter, not the US adapter advertised in the photo. (this is hardly a problem to me)

Pues, como digo: con estos obtienes más de lo que te esperas por solo 85€. Pero mucho más, ah! Y eso no es nada normal. Porque lo usual es que siempre quedes sintiendo que has pagado mucho para lo que rinde un producto. Son unos monitores que valen mucho más de lo que cuestan. (Al final incluyo una lista de TODO el software que viene incluido gratuitamente.) Durante algún tiempo había estado posponiendo la compra de un par de monitores de estudio porque mi presupuesto es limitado y mi investigación me convenció de que tenía que gastar mucho más para obtener buenos monitores. Pero, entonces, estos comenzaron a aparecer en mis resultados de búsqueda. Luego vi un par de videos en YT mostrando sus puntos fuertes y estaba realmente intrigado. Por el precio increíble tenía serias dudas de que pudieran ser tan buenos como la gente decía, pero decidí arriesgarme y probarlos. Y qué bien me ha salido! Ni bien los conecté me sorprendió que PreSonus pudiera conseguir tal calidad en un precio tan bajo y meterle tanta potencia en un cuerpo tan pequeño. Son claros y muy detallados. La separación de instrumentos es realmente genial por el precio, por lo que son excelentes compañeros cuando estás haciendo una mezcla detallada. Al dejar la afinación acústica, los altos y bajos, en 0, se obtiene un sonido perfectamente plano que realmente me permite, por primera vez, mezclar sin tener que compensar a ciegas porque mis altavoces o auriculares tiene graves más presentes o son más brillantes. Así que por primera vez mis mezclas suenan igual donde sea que las oiga. Compré los 3.5s porque por un tema de espacio. Esperaba sacrificar bastante potencia debido al tamaño. Sin embargo, como ya dije, sorprende la potencia por lo pequeños que son. Los tengo siempre a 30-40% máximo, porque más que eso ya es demasiado fuerte para mi gusto. Así que aún tienen un 60-70% más de potencia para que mis vecinos llamen a la policía. Como dije, quiero un sonido completamente plano, que estos me dan. Pero eso no significa que no tengan un bajo agradable, y además potente si es lo que quieres. Temí que no tuvieran muy buen bajo por el tamaño/precio pero nuevamente quedé gratamente sorprendido. Si quieres unos bajos bastante presentes, pues con estos también puedes lograrlo. Me parece que son bastante mejores que los JBL One Series 104 y Mackie CR3-XBT, que suelen estar en las comparativas. Los JBL cuestan el doble y creo que están MUY sobrevalorados. Los Mackie cuestan 20-30€ más que los PreSonus y en su caso, sí que diría “obtienes lo que pagas”. En mi opinión los JBL son bastante cálidos, lo cual no está bueno para hacer mezclas. Además, tiene problemas si los escuchas fuera del eje central, con que tienes que dirigirlos con mucho cuidado. Los Mackie fueron decepcionantes. Me parece que no son realmente para mezclar es estudio, sino solo son productos de consumo, como monitores de ordenador. El sonido carece de fuerza y presencia, y la separación de instrumentos no es muy buena. Lado a lado, de los 3 elegiría ciegamente los PreSonus como los más profesionales y más caros... La primera afirmación es definitivamente cierta; la segunda afirmación afortunadamente no lo es. Para mí, PreSonus ha dejado de lado cualquier artificio de marketing, diseño elegante o moderno, gollerías estéticas, y ha invertido todo el dinero en el interior de estos monitores. El resultado es un par de monitores que puede que no ganen ningún premio de innovación en diseño, pero que sin duda son excepcionales en la calidad del sonido. Permítanme aclarar que no son feos de ninguna manera, son solo, digamos, tradicionales o simples, pero de buena calidad. Es probable que nadie te vaya a decir: Pero qué chulos se ven tus monitores! Pero al escucharlos, seguramente te dirán: Pero qué increíbles suenan tus monitores! Está claro que esto último es más importante. Si tienes mucho dinero para gastar en monitores (y otro hardware), puedes pagar por la estética, así como la calidad del sonido. Pero estoy muy contento de que PreSonus haya salido con esta opción increíblemente barata de un par de monitores que realmente funcionan muy por encima de su rango de precio. Esto te permite comenzar con un gran hardware y obtener excelentes resultados. También te permite gastar en otras cosas importantes, como una interfaz de audio, controladores midi, buenos micrófonos, etc. Finalmente, diré que si no tienes mucha idea de monitores, si estos son tus primeros, afortunadamente PreSonus te ofrece una gran cantidad de material de apoyo en su web para que obtengas el mejor resultado: ya sea instrucciones para calibrarlos, si eso quieres, para colocarlos a una distancia y ángulo perfecto, para mejor el sonido de tu habitación, etc. Además, viene con una GRAN cantidad de software pago incluido con tu compra de manera gratuita, incluso el Studio One, que es un DAW muy completo que aquí obtienes gratis! Son bocinas activas que como principal características puedo decir que su sonido es "claro". Aunque a veces en las frecuencias altas puede ser un poco molesto si pones las bocinas apuntando directamente hacia tus oídos. A corta distancia se puede notar una pequeña falta de extensión en frecuencias bajas. Sin embargo, si pones estas bocinas para escuchas de mayor lejanía imitando un teatro en casa o algo similar, puedo que si se llegan a percibir la frecuencias bajas pero son tanta extención a frecuencias sub bajas. De cualquier forma por la parte trasera tiene unas perillas para ajustar las frecuencias altas y bajas a como tú desees. Es cuestión de experimentar entre ecualización y posicionamiento de las bocinas, la verdad se les puede sacar mucho potencial y todavía aún más compra unas bases de espuma para aislamiento de sonido. Ofrecen una muy buena calidad para su precio. Sin embargo si tienes el dinero y la posibilidad de comprar un sub woofer compralo, en definitiva escucharás un cambio notable. Te recomiendo comprar el sub woofer de gama de entrada de Presonus (Presonus sub 8) que está alrededor de los 5 mil pesos mexicanos. Yo lo compre en 4800 y pero decir que su sonido claro hace el Match perfecto para profundidad y extensión en frecuencias bajas.
