Excellent product. Great support. Purchased more a half dozen of the NFC Latch locksets here on Amazon over the last few months. They have worked great. I use the phone app. I tried the Windows app once and it's not ready for prime time so my suggestion is to stay away from it. Back on subject. I had an issue with the Bluetooth with one unit and I called technical support. Support was fantastic. We troubleshot the issue and they sent a replacement unit via RMA. No hassle. No fuss. And they are in California so there is minimal shipping delay. The lock is easy to program and use once you get the app logic down. The phone app is very good. Anybody can make and sell you something. But you don't really know how good a company truly is until you have a problem. So I discovered that U-Tec stands behind their product. They really came through.

Great NFC Lock. Installation was easy. Adding my phone to "tap and open" worked easily. Then added that as a digital key to Samsung Wallet. Adding this lock to SmartThings is done by linking the Ultraloq account to Samsung. Then I was able to create a routine to automatically unlock it when I arrived home. The widget is handy. Each user can have a code, granted app access and/or NFC privileges. Works with Amazon Alexa for voice commands. Best part is the lock fits a door thickness up to 2" and they have an extension kit if you need bigger. (The photos saying 1 3/4" thick are wrong.) Much easier access than fingerprints. Fit and finish is very high quality. Pre-purchase tech support was great.

This is the second door lock I have used from Ultraloq. The reason I got this one is because I love my finger prints model on my front door but wanted a NFC one for my garage. Unfortunately I haven't gotten the NFC part to work for more than a minute or two. The two credit card size pass cards work great and I can give one to someone if they need access quickly. Other than the major issue with NFC, I have a problem with getting the key pad to light up so someone can input a code. You have to press near the 7 key or just below it to get it to light up without accidentally input. Wish it would light up when you touch the bottom of screen to make it easier. Still, overall a great product. I knew they were still working on the NFC part so not going to bad rate it on that. Just the problem with lighting up key pad.

I now own four Ultraloq products. By far the best electronic locks I have ever owned. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed the door handle/clutch on the entrance lock to our Airbnb was wobbly. It was purchased in 6/23. I called customer service, they diagnosed the problem, and sent me a replacement part, along with detailed simple instructions to repair it. I'm back up and running. Great products, great customer service!

I bought this lock for a second house that we often used and thought it would be great when we needed something serviced in the house when we were away. The latch was installed, and we had trouble installing the firmware updates. I called support, and they asked me to change the batteries, so I replaced them with new lithium AA batteries. I could do the latch firmware update, but the Bluetooth update never worked, even with someone from support on my phone. The latch worked for a couple of weeks, but I noticed I could not see it from my phone app around the third week. A week later, someone went to the house to complete a service, tried to open it, and the display didn't work. No matter what he did, he could not activate the display. Now, we have a house 1500 miles away that no one can access because the latch is not working. Very disappointing.

Had a problem with operating the device after installation. It took the tech support gentleman about 5 minutes to determine the device defective and immediately ordered a replacement. It came quickly and works perfectly. Thanks.

i have 3 of these locks. using the ultraloq air website to manage. it is in beta but still works. it is in beta for more than a year. it makes me nervous that i would lose my data when it does get out of beta. otherwise, the lock works fine. i think i expect it too much when i expect instantaneous responses when in actuality, the signal is sent to a server from my device via wifi to the server to the lock then back to the server then back via wifi to my device before i can see a specific status of the lock change

I have been living with this lock for about 6 weeks now - here’s my thoughts Pros: Install was easy Looks nice Build quality feels good App is ok Cons: No visible indicator door is locked (must use app) No physical way to lock door (must use app) No apple homekit compatibility NFC card cannot be loaded to apple wallet The only way to leave the door unlocked (eg during a party) is to put it in pass through mode, which it will stay in until you remember to change it - again with no physical indicator. No compatibility with shortcuts This door lock is “ok” I’m going to find another use for it and shop for an alternative for my side door. Hopefully this helps if you are trying to make a decision

As based in the UK no verification codes are allowed meaning a different method is required for registration. This is not made clear and should be. However customer service was swift and pointed me in the direction of a solution.

For years, these were problematic and buggy products with many flaws, including rapid draining of batteries, getting stuck and bypassing lever movements, etc. But I have bought two of this model and they are perfect. No flaws at all. They also work and last well in both high and very low temperature, under rain and snow. So, I am finally a happy customer.
