Compact, powerful and robust
Been working for me for many months. Good quality. Reliable. The outlet pipe froze solid and I was worried the pump trying to pump though a blocked pipe would knaker it - but no - its still going.

Excellent, love it.
Excellent pump. It fulfilled our need perfectly, it was easy to set up and cleared our water problem in no time. Good, practical size. My husband is very happy.

A good pump , but needs a horizontal hose connection and a means of holding it in place.
Most pumps this winter have been purchased to remove errant surface water, so why do designs for clear pool water predominate. The internal float switch is a great boon, but after cleaning out the pump runs all the time it has power. Better reassembly instruction is needed. Pump placed in an outdoor sump hole to clear ponding rainwater. Hole covered with a concrete flagstone to prevent accidents. When switched on the exit hose tried to push itself straight and tipped the pump over in the hole. This caused it to drop off its half brick plinth points in the bottom of the hole and pick up silt. I cannot avoid a sharp bend in the hose under the flag and still have difficulty holding it so that the float switch operates correctly when unattended. It no longer has the power it originally had, but still works.

Over Sensitive Float Switch
Pump is very effective and arrived on time. It was required to be a sump pump sitting in a drain outside our kitchen door. Water pools there during heavy rain. A pump is required to prevent water level over topping the door threshold. When the water level is slowly rising it switches on / off every few seconds - about 20 times a minute. The pump needs to be operational for about 12 hrs each session so the motor will soon wear out. It is therefore not suitable for its intended purpose. ***update***The supplier made unexpected contact having read my review. They kindly offered a full refund which I accepted. This was excellent customer service and shows they are committed to ensuring customers are satisfied. I would definitely recommend them.

Good - but no check valve
Pump initially worked very well, until the end of the job when I discovered there was no check valve. As it didn't have a check valve as advertised, it got returned. If you don't need a check valve then this is a 5* pump, however if a check valve is important it's 1*. It seems I'm not the only reviewer to have received a pump missing the check valve so this does seem to be a misleading description.

Powerful pump, sucks from even fairly shallow puddles
A decent, powerful pump. Bough with the plan of using it in a sump pit - where the built-in float is much more suitable than the style that are out on a separate cable and could get caught against the side of the pit and have the pump run dry. So far, though, I've used it to clear water from some deep puddles after some very heavy rainfall, and it worked a treat, sucking water from quite low down, and shifting a good volume of water very quickly. The upright outlet is fine for a sump pit based setup, but can cause issues with hose positioning if you're just planning to sit it in a deep puddle and run flat disharge hose along the ground, as the hose will kink at the top - you'll need to either do something to help prop the hose to avoid that - hence the crate in one of my photos - or buy a screw-on 90 degree elbow outlet instead of the supplied vertical one.

Love the integrated float switch
This is a great pump which I use to pump rainwater from a 1000 litre tanks to smaller receptacles. The in built float switch is a great feature and one of the reasons I prefer this to pumps with with float switches.
