easy filter
Thankful I found this filter for my Epic Water Pitcher, used for my Keurig. It's easy to screw in and works great filtering my city water. Keeps my Keurig clean from having issues and the water tastes great. I use it daily and have never had any issues. Nice sale pricing when I bought.

Working Well
I'm using this in my Epic water pitcher and it fits perfectly. It filtered water a little slower in the beginning, but is now doing it faster. The water tastes clean and just like it did when I used the original filter that came with my pitcher.

Skip it - I tested vs Epic Water Filters and it is not worth it
I recently went out and bought a bunch of the knockoff replacement filters online, I genuinely wanted to know if one was actually better than the others. After cutting them open side by side with the USA-made Epic Pure XP, weighing them, measuring wall thickness, and comparing the filtration media and construction quality, my conclusion was pretty simple: they are all basically the same filter. Most of the knockoffs used thin-wall construction, low-cost ABS plastic housings, and very similar internal carbon block designs. Once the labels and packaging were removed, many of them looked nearly identical inside. It honestly felt like the same generic imported filter being sold under different brand names. What stood out even more was the lack of transparency. I searched for independent NSF certifications, third-party testing, NSF 61-certified filtration media, or proof these filters were being manufactured inside NSF-certified facilities, and I could not find much of anything. Most of the claims seemed to rely more on marketing than verified certifications on the finished products. The Epic Pure XP was a completely different story. Epic filters are made in the USA inside an NSF-certified manufacturing facility with quality controls. The Epic Pure XP is also certified to NSF/ANSI 42 for material safety - i checked out the NSF website and found their listing. I can't say the same for this overseas filter, these guys can get away with saying anything, pretty crazy. The NSF certification matters because filtration is not just about what gets removed from water, it is also about making sure the filter itself is not introducing contaminants back into your drinking water. Epic uses food-safe polypropylene construction, which is widely considered one of the best materials available for drinking water applications because of its stability and resistance to leaching. All of the knockoff filters I opened appeared to use ABS plastic instead, which is cheaper and commonly found in low-cost products. The internal filtration technology was also noticeably different. Epic uses trademarked CoreXchangeโข Technology, which combines dual-layer nanofiber filtration with an advanced carbon fiber block core, got this from their website. You can really feel the difference and how thick it is when you cut it open. The nanofiber layers are designed to help reduce bacteria, viruses, giardia, cryptosporidium, and microplastics, while the carbon fiber block targets PFAS, fluoride, heavy metals, chlorine, pesticides, and VOCs Epic also publicly discusses independent third-party testing to NSF standards including 42, 53, 401, P231, and P473. I tried to find similar testing documentation for the knockoff brands and came up empty. Literally...empty. After physically cutting these filters apart and comparing them side-by-side, I personally came away believing most of these cheap replacement filters are essentially the same generic imported product with different labels slapped on the outside. The Epic filter is 225% thicker than these cheap knock offs. When it comes to something as important as drinking water, I would rather trust a filter with real certifications, transparent materials, and manufacturing standards that can actually be verified. I am contacting NSF to tell them that these guys are claiming NSF certified but have nothing to back it up. Very shady. Just to recap: 1. Not NSF Certified 2. Not made in the USA 3. Not independently tested 4. Not made from Food Safe Polypropylene 5. Not dual layer like Epic 6. No idea what this filter is putting back into your water.

decent filters for price
these filters work pretty good from what iโve seen, just make sure the rubber piece in the filter is in place or the water will drain out the sides, other than that it looks like the water is being filtered. i have no tested the water to see if itโs actually free of all chemicals and bacteria but it tastes fine to me.

I received 2 cartridges instead of 4, returned the cartridges and havenโt received any refund for one month. The bottom line: money paid and no filter.
