The gate is sturdy, fits wide stairways well, and was easy to install with the included extensions. It gives good peace of mind for keeping little ones safe. However, the latch is fairly simple, and older kids can figure out how to open it without much effort. Overall, a reliable safety gate for toddlers, but keep an eye out as kids grow.

I had to return this because our skirting made it too high to install properly. The quality isn’t amazing, but it did seem sturdy and would’ve done the job. It’s actually a pretty good solution if it fits your space. Quite adjustable and versatile, just make sure to check your skirting height before buying.

The pressure-mounted design meant I had it secured in a doorway or hallway in minutes without needing to drill or damage the door frame or the walls (though hardware is included for those who want extra permanent security, like at the bottom of stairs). A quick note for first-time buyers: you'll notice a slight gap at the top latch before installation—this is normal and intentional! As you tighten the pressure rods, that gap closes perfectly, which locks the gate into its position.
