I'm a "carry-on only" traveller and using these as well as the larger "packing cubes" makes it easy to go somewhere for a week with just a carry-on. They fit into a carry-on size suitcase very well. Go online and figure out how to roll most garments, then it's easy to pack and clothes don't get crumpled when you rummage through them during your travels. Eagle Creek makes their cubes light and strong, with good ventilation/content visibility, a good choice. There are other less expensive brands which work, although they can be a little bulkier and it's not as easy to see the contents.

This packing cube is the perfect shape to fit between the luggage crevices of a rolling carry-on suitcase. It is the perfect size for packing underwear and smaller clothing items. The material is also sturdier than the flimsy nylon one I had first ordered from another company.

I load up these bags with my sockets and wrenches and toss them in my toolbox. So great for keeping a toolbox oragnized yet compact. I'm sure it's not what they were intended for but they are holding 10-15lbs of tools each and have not torn or shown any signs of wear. Highly recommended! **Update 5/4/2024 - 5 years later I've taken the exact same bags out of my toolbox and now use them to organize my bug out bag / 72hr bag. Still in great shape, no tears, zippers work perfectly. Seriously pleased considering how much I abuse these bags.

Eagle Creek packing cubes are the original, the real mccoy, the one that others imitate. Unfortunately, the Pack-It Cubes were so good that Eagle Creek felt compelled to fix something that wasn't broken; their newer packing cubes are weaker, sloppier, less-functional, and yet more expensive. My first EC Pack-It cube is twenty years old and still going strong. Buy this original Pack-It cube and be happy with it for a long time.

A tube shaped "cube" in this line of clever travel organizers. This one is a little too small for my purposes. It would work well for storing belts, ties, underwear, ankle socks, or lightweight scarves, but not anything larger. I had a lot of trouble visualizing the actual size of the Pack-It cubes using just the promo pictures and dimensions, so after trying out several sizes, I've included photos to try to provide some perspective. Here you see a two men's boxer-briefs rolled, and a normal sized deodorant. There's enough slack in the material to allow a second layer of items on top. I've also pictured the Tube (w/ same items) in a 22" carry-on sized roller suitcase. The Pack-It is a clever design that both provides structure and flexibility. The result is you can overfill the PackIt (in my pic, you could do another layer of items), and unless you have a solid item taking up the whole length of the Tube, there's enough extra material that the Tube can flex to hold it all. The mesh makes it possible to compress the contents (as well as see what's in there). This isn't my favorite shape/size of Pack-It, but the Tube can complement larger cubes for separately storing accessories. Recommended if you carry accessories on travel.

Eagle Creek is the best!

Wanted to try packing cubes - the new rage. These are/were recommended cubes. Most are too small to stash much of anything inside - they take up much of your available space if you’re that tight on it to need these. I only use the largest cube now as a toiletries holder.
