What a great set for art on the go! The watercolours are so vivid, and lovely colours, they will last for ages and so convenient to use with the water brush. The paper is super quality and with the black fine liner I have discovered the joy of line and wash art. The folder is good quality too, a superb addition to my art supplies.

Fijn dat alles bij elkaar zit. Leuk voor op de bank. Het elastiek werkt niet goed, waardoor hij steeds openvalt. Een normaal aquarel doosje is te dik, dus je bent verplicht om met die aquarel verf blaadjes te werken. Lastig om andere tekenspulletjes op te bergen, omdat het een open vak is. Kortom, ik ben een beetje teleurgesteld.

It’s easy to find replacement watercolor pads that fit. Canson makes them, for one, and those are available on Amazon. The paper (I think wax paper) that sits between each page is such that the colors won’t contaminate each other, even if you work very wet. I added a lot of water for a pale sky and had no problems. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have used this brand of paint before and I love it. Color variety: This is a wife and mixable range for anything from urban and landscape sketching to vivid art journals. Ease of use: It’s great for painting on the go. Urban sketchers will love this. Quality: No complaints here. The paint is good. The paper is good. The case is great. It’s all high quality. Paint quality: The one thing you do need to be aware of, and it’s not an issue, is that the paint is extremely pigmented. Swatch into the little rectangles provided before you try to use this. It will give you the best sense of what the color looks like when you paint with it. The color in the “pan” is way off. Color: The blue doesn’t interfere too much with seeing colors, but a neutral might have been nice. That’s not a big issue. Fun to use: I’m practicing more since I got this because it’s fun and no trouble bringing it to the park or even doing a quick painting on the couch. It’s likely great for road trips for kids
