La-Z-Boy Trafford Ergonomic Bonded Leather Swivel Executive Chair, Black (45782A)

I'm a mess; total lumbar back fusion, right hip replacement, right shoulder replacement, etc.. I have been through 3 EXPENSIVE office/desk chairs, the most recent was purchased from a local furniture company at a cost in excess of $1,000.00. All have been extremely uncomfortable and painful. I purchased the La-Z-Boy Trafford Big & Tall Executive Chair from Amazon and have been impressed since its arrival. Assembly was incredibly easy with all parts (including the screws and caps) plainly marked to agree with the assembly instructions. The quality of the chair is incredible and clearly exceeds the quality of its $1,000+ predecessor. Comfortable??? I can hardly begin to describe the degree of comfort that I experience when sitting in this opulent executive appliance. I can truthfully testify that this is the most comfortable chair that I have experienced since my surgeries began in 2015, and the comfort level remains high regardless of the hours that I spend sitting in this chair. I recommend the La-Z-Boy Trafford Big & Tall Executive Chair to anyone, particularly those with a temporary or permanent disability due to a back or hip disorder.

this is my 3rd La-Z-Boy chair now. Yes , the quality has gone downhill Bigtime with the bonded leather (fake leather) and it will wear out and start peeling after some time. This last one lasted me about 4yrs before it started to peel off. BUT! It’s still very comfortable even with the padding having worn out a bit. My cats ended up using my chair as a scratching post before I built my office to keep them out so I ordered a new one. I noticed that the black material seems waaay more durable than the brown colors for some reason. I could tell this one seems thicker and more durable than the last one. The brown one I bought was shiny and slick, this black one is more rough like real leather so I think the black ones last longer. I also bought another similar chair for $300 and it looked amazing but as soon as I sat in it, I knew I made a mistake and ended up paying $82 to return it then bought a real La-Z-Boy again. And as soon as I sat in this chair I knew 100% I made the right decision. These chairs are THEE most comfortable office chair you can buy and you will not regret it. I also use leather conditioner for car upholstery to keep it from drying out which also helps the material last longer without peeling/cracking. I am soooo happy what this chair. I am 6ft 200lbs and it is the PERFECT chair.

**Updated** Well, The chair is sturdy but at this point it is unusable. The metal bar that runs across the top of the backrest, in the "padding" is killing my back. I spend a lot of time in the chair and all the lumbar support in the world does not replace the pain I feel at the end of the day across my shoulder blades. This chair is very uncomfortable if you spend a lot of time in it, and now, a very expensive piece of trash. **original initial reactions below** 4 stars because I just put it together and am sitting in it for the first time. I've bought big and tall executive chairs (and regular ones as well), and I'll comment now on shipping, assembly, and initial reactions. Shipping: Brought to my home by UPS, box was ripped, bottom of box was opened. I doubt this was the vendor's fault as UPS can be rough sometimes. No scuffs or scratches on actual product. Assembly: I opened the box, took out all parts to take inventory, and found the instructions were missing. I'm guessing they are on the UPS truck somewhere. Called customer service number and they sent me instructions immediately through email. Assembly took about 25 minutes, not too hard. The chair is heavy (total of 64lbs) so when trying to align the seat with the gas lift, its a really good idea to have someone around to help guide you. 12 bolts in total, and La-Z-Boy provides an allen wrench with an actual handle on it, wonderful! Initial Reactions: I sat in the chair and can tell a major difference in lumbar support. It is pretty great. For being a Big and Tall chair its a little skinnier than I would have thought it to be, but overall not bad. I may just need to get used to it. Very sturdy parts, with what appears to be cast iron in the star base, no flimsy aluminum found. I spend a lot of time in my office so I'll return in a couple months with long-term reactions.

This chair seems well made and sturdy. It has no sharp edges and the wheels roll well even on carpet. It is not as big as other big and tall chairs. The seat length and width could be bigger. I have long legs and they are only half on the chair. The Lazy Boy does not tilt as much as I would like. But the mechanism is sturdy and does not sing or squeek or wobble. It is comfortable and seems to be made of durable materials but only time will tell. Assembly was a bit difficult because of the tight tolerances. I needed a second person to help push some pieces into place while I secured the screws. It came with several spare pieces if needed. The tight fit after assembly more than makes up for the extra effort that was needed. If you are taller than 6' do not buy this chair. It barely fits me and I am exactly 6 ft tall.

I used Amazon service to assemble and recommend that. The chair would be too heavy for me to assemble alone. So far my husband and I love this chair. It looks great but the support it offers is great. My husband is 6-2 and this is the first chair that has him properly positioned. He has lower back issues and absolutely no pain after sitting in this chair for hours. In fact he tried moving it to living room to use. So far this chair is a 5 and worth the investment to me! I feel so lucky as it was tough to buy without trying, but was worth it!!

Tenía una lazboy que comrpe hace 10 años que era magnífica la de ahora es bastante regular, después de un rato de usarla cansa muchos a la espalda, los materiales son duros y como alambre en particular en la espalda. Por el costo que es elevado ya hay muchísimas mejores opciones de otras marcas

The chair is comfortable enough but it has a tendency to wobble on the seat a little bit, it also looks liked paint was dripped on the left arm of the chair. Other than those problems it suits me just fine.
