Autoglym ACC150-AG Air-Con Cleaner

I bought this as my Climate Control had started to smell like old feet but still works effectively, so I did not want to go to a dealership or Kwikfit where it cost between £30 and £75 for a disinfectant clean and re-gas. As I am in my car at least and hour and a half a day, it was not nice! I read the instructions several times as other users said it was critical to FOLLOW THEM TO THE WORD! All in all it took about 20 minutes to half an hour, including airing the car at the end! Initially after using, the first drive there was a faint odour of feet but predominantly just a clean chemical smell which I quite like. Both odours have disappeared now and this probably took a couple of journeys , just leaving a completely odour free climate control system for £12.50. Well done Autoglym, this is a very effective product. I thoroughly recommend and will use again.

Easy to use compared with other systems, but it’s important that you follow the instructions precisely, if you want it to work. The scent has citrus overtones and is not unpleasant. Used on my wife’s car where the short journeys have caused the build up of mould in the aircon system. Seems to have worked well. It will be interesting to see if it lasts the season.

Bought this product was easy to use at start the car smelt of that stuff quite strong but it worked to get rid of the nasty odours in the AC system smells a bit better now. Good product totally recommend this.

I purchased this as my air con had that damp sweaty sock kind of smell when starting it up . My car doesn’t really move through the week so air con is not used overly regularly. It was easy enough to use but had quite a strong chemically smell with a hint of fly killer type smell . Supposedly lemon . My air con does smell better but not sure how long it will last . For the price it’s probably not really worth it . A quick google today and I see ats euromaster do a bacterial air con clean properly for 20 pound all in . Prob worth taking it to them next time or similar place and getting the full clean for a few quid more . I mean if this stuff was 5/6 quid then yeah 3 times a year would still work out cheaper and more convenient but I imagine the real clean would last longer

It did the job of freshening up my air con which was beginning to smell a bit vinegary. This cleared it up a treat but the lemon and fly spray odour is a bit strong. Clears up after a week or so to something more tolerable. I'd use it again as it's far more preferable to the sour smell from before!

I've not compared to other products though I was recommended this was the best. I'm trying to remove the scent stale smoke by a previous car owner. Car is only 2y old and 10k miles so should have worked, though the scent is better it's certainly not cured the issue.

This is easy to you and sorted the problem! Since my aircon was still blowing cold and wasn't in need of regas, I thought I'd give this a go to get rid of that wet sock smell whenever I turned off my aircon. It worked a treat! Just follow the simple instructions and your aircon would smell so fresh again! 2 weeks after and my aircon smells fresh. Since it's clean, it's not more efficient and so much colder. I'm very happy with it!
