Antec Performance 1 FT, Full Tower, RTX40 Fully Compatible, Temp Display, 4 x Storm T3 PWM Fans, Type-C, Dual TG Side Panels, Removable Top Bracket, High Airflow Mesh Front Panel, E-ATX PC Gaming Case

Review: Great! - This is the first pc case I've ever bought and had to transfer into. I'm kind of new to pc gaming. Only been at it for the past couple years, and never did anything like this before. Thankfully, this case made it super easy. The size, options and components make transferring into this case super easy. The cable management looks incredibly clean by the time you're finished. The holes for the cables have these nice rubber padded openenings, and the openings are all over the place to maximize which cables come out where. All the panels (the top, sides, cable channel covers marked 1 and 2) are simple to remove. They utilized these metal notches that slot in, so you only need one thumb screw to secure them, which is pretty neat. Even without the thumb screws, there are these ball joint things the panels snap into, so the thumb screws are just an added redundancy. I had 2 3.5" HDDs. In my original review, I said there was only space for one but it turns out I'm bad at reading directions. There is space for 2. There's room for 3 separate 2.5" drives on the cable management side, so plenty of options for expanded storage. The ventilation is all over the place on this thing, so it shouldn't have any problems staying cool, and keeping air going. Speaking of air, the fans it comes with are big 140s in the front, and from what I can tell, they pull a lot in through that magnetic front vent panel. I had a situation with my motherboard in my old case, and my wishes were granted with my top mounted AIO here. The old case had a problem with space for said AIO at the top because I have the extra thick Arctic 360 radiator + fans, which had to be installed kinda of slanted to get out of the way of the CPUs power cable (the connector for which was at the very top of the motherboard). With this new case, there's enough space for everything to fit as it's supposed to. I haven't done any customizing of fan curves or anything, but I played some Cyberpunk 2077 at 4k with Path Tracing and all bells and whistles on, although not for very long yet, and my cpu and gpu stayed cool as a cucumber. My 3080 used to get up to the 80s. The 4090 doesn't go over 70. I don't know if it's the case, or the cooling system on the GPU, or both, but regardless, it's running nice and cool. I saw a video on YouTube about this particular case being a little more noisy than the more pricey ones like the Meshify 2, but if what it produced was more noise, I couldn't hear it. It's much quieter than my last case, that for certain. I'm not sure what else to add that is worth while. If you get a 4090 for this case, you may have to slip the top pci slot cover in over the back of the 4090, because the plate on the top of the card sticks out a hair on the back side. You sort of have to wedge it in (angled 45, tuck in the bottom edge over that plate, then put it upright, then push it in toward the motherboard, then you can screw it in, or even just leave the screw, because it can be a hassle, and it being slightly wedged in will keep it in place). One of the neat things about it is the screens are very easy to remove. The bottom one can be slid out from the front, like a lint trap on a dryer. The front most panel just.. Pops off with a light tug because it's magnetic. I'll be up front here, as I said, I am fairly new to pc gaming, cases, etc., but I am thorough, and from what I have found and seen for myself, it's a great case, while also being very affordable. The biggest selling point other than the ease of use, is definitely the cable management. It is CLEAN when you do it right. It looks awesome if you don't care for the RPG puke, and enjoy a nice dark and sleek appearance. Also, for being a "full" tower, it really doesn't look much bigger than the mid tower I had previously. Maybe if you jump from a small tower to this one it'll be more noticeable to you, but it fit great in the same spot. All in all, I definitely can recommend this case. Especially for those on a more beginner/intermediate level who want a lot of open space to work with.
Review: beautiful case - The Antec Performance 1 FT is a mid-tower computer case that offers a balanced combination of features and performance. In this unbiased review, we'll delve into its various aspects to provide you with a comprehensive overview. **Design and Build Quality (4/5):** The Performance 1 FT features a minimalistic design with a brushed aluminum front panel that gives it a premium appearance. The case is well-constructed and feels sturdy, which is a positive aspect in terms of build quality. However, some users may prefer a more flashy design, and the overall aesthetic may not appeal to everyone. **Airflow and Cooling (4.5/5):** This case is equipped with multiple cooling options, including support for up to six 120mm or four 140mm fans. It also offers compatibility with liquid cooling solutions, making it a good choice for those who want to keep their system cool, even during heavy workloads. The airflow design is efficient, and cable management options are decent, allowing for clean airflow paths. **Compatibility (4/5):** The Performance 1 FT supports ATX, micro-ATX, and mini-ITX motherboards, offering versatility in terms of motherboard compatibility. It can accommodate graphics cards up to 370mm in length and CPU coolers up to 165mm in height, which should cover the majority of user requirements. However, some larger graphics cards or CPU coolers may not fit. **Storage Options (4/5):** This case provides a good number of storage options with support for up to four 2.5" SSDs and two 3.5" HDDs. This should be sufficient for most users, but it's worth noting that the drive bays aren't tool-free, which might be a minor inconvenience for some. **Ease of Installation (4/5):** The Performance 1 FT offers a relatively straightforward installation process with well-labeled cable routing channels and plenty of cable management options. However, it lacks some premium features like a removable motherboard tray, which could make the installation process even more user-friendly. **Price and Value (4/5):** The price point of the Antec Performance 1 FT is reasonable, given its build quality, cooling options, and compatibility. While it may not be the cheapest case on the market, it strikes a good balance between quality and affordability. **Conclusion:** The Antec Performance 1 FT is a well-constructed mid-tower case with a minimalist design that might not appeal to users looking for more flashy aesthetics. It excels in terms of airflow and cooling options, making it a suitable choice for users who prioritize thermal performance. The case offers good compatibility for most standard components, but it may not accommodate larger components. The price is reasonable, considering the features and build quality it offers. Ultimately, the Antec Performance 1 FT is a solid choice for users looking for a reliable, mid-range computer case, provided that the design and size constraints align with their preferences and requirements.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can a rog strix 3080 fit with a 360 radiator aio on the side?**
A: I've got a 3090 FE in my system, with a side mounted 280mm rad. I did have to vertical mount the gpu to fit it. But it works. I think you should be fine. Might have to vertical mount the gpu like i did.

**Q: Will a asus z790-e gaming wifi motherboard mount ok into this case?**
A: Yes. I currently have an Asus Z790-F gaming mobo, which is similar to yours, installed in this case and fits fine. Even if that mobo is eATX, it'll fit.

**Q: If i remove one of the hard drive bays can i still attach an ssd to the bottom of the one remaining?**
A: I believe so, each bar is independent.

**Q: Should side panel fans be intake or exhaust?**
A: They can be either or depending on your particular setup. Most people use the side panel fans as intake and the rear fan as exhaust.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for a first build.
*by P***V on April 2, 2026*

Chose this for my first build. I found it easy to work with and the cable management is nice. The side panel is easy to remove for cleaning internals, and the included fans work great. The size inside is plenty, honestly I think I could have gone with something smaller but this future proof's for larger cards. One thing to note is the LED panel will not work if you don't install the Antec software, which can be a deal breaker on Linux as it's Windows only. There are some community workarounds on GitHub and I was able to code a workaround in an evening.
