Q: I bought this under the impression this was bluetooth compatible with pc, yet it is not being detected by my pc. does this work m/ bluetooth on pc?

It does work on pc, android,IOS, it requires a certain two buttons For pc. I've paired it tons of times. Hold Home plus Y to pair to pc. hold home plus X to pair to switch. Hold home Plus B for its IOS I believe. Hold home Plus A for Android

Q: Are the l & r buttons pressure sensitive like with the original gamecube controller?

The shoulder buttons are not analog like original Gamcube controllers. Though depending on what you what the controller for, that might not be a problem.

Q: Why is bluetooth not working on pc even when it shows it sync as "wireless controller"? i pushed home + y. what am i doing wrong?

Sounds right to me, try to remove the device and go through the discovery process again
