In this charming picture book, curious little kids will learn all about how an acorn grows up to be an oak tree. The story includes the stages of growth of a tree throughout the seasons and year. It also introduces the happenings around the tree, from children playing in its shade to squirrels climbing up its trunk and birds nesting in its branches. These engaging Explore My World picture books on subjects kids care about combine simple stories with unforgettable photography. They invite little kids to take their first big steps toward understanding the world around them and are just the thing for parents and kids to curl up with and read aloud. Review: Nice educational book - Great learning tool for teaching children how plants grow. Review: You get what you pay for! - The images are very vivid and helps bring the book to life. The children were really captured by the realistic images so much that they thought some of the tress were ones they had seen before in the backyard of the school.

Be a Tree, Be Free
May have a bit too much for a younger child but with help reading my 5 yr old cousin really enjoyed this. It helped that we had taken a field trip in October to a farm making syrup from sugar maple sap.

Not user Friendly for UK
This book has beautiful illustrations and is well presented for children to use. NOT suitable for use in UK as uses Fall instead of Autumn and has animals not native to UK as living in or around a tree - eg skunk. This would have been a great book to use with my Reception Class but will need lots of explanation, which I would rather not have to do!! Therefore only 2 stars.
