This book was cute and the love he has for his wife you can tell in infinite but this book is not for everyone. This book is not for the people who are struggling to love and be loved. This book is not for the people struggling in a relationship and questioning their sense of self. This book is for people who are in the honeymoon phase of a relationship or are about to embark on their wedding day. This book can be considered disgustingly romantic but I love it. I would love to have a man in my life that loves me like he loves her. I think all of us woman should strive for a match like this. Overall, a good book and plan to read the rest of the series (once I am in happier place in my life).

I loved this collection of poetry so much. I am her, she is me and omg I just envisioned the man of my dreams reading this aloud to me. I smiled the entire time. So real, so soft, so much love in this work. Thank you!

I read this wanting to see if I should give this to a friend bc her favorite color is yellow. Honestly this was just so beautiful and raw from beginning to end. It even reminded me of two characters from my favorite book series (After by Anna Todd). The fact that it’s his debut is so cool and I just hope he continues writing.

I gave it as a gift to my girlfriend (whose favorite color is yellow); and it’s very cute and sweet, but some of the poetry is a little mediocre. Some of them are pretty good, but some just feel like things people have said 100 times. Overall I’m happy with it and it makes a cute gift and sentiment, but if you’re actually interested in the poetry for yourself, it’s a little meh.

Holmes describes all aspects of love in his poems flawlessly. Anyone who is or has ever been in love, or just has someone they long to be with, can pick up this book and find something to latch on to and relate to. Holmes' word choice is meticulate, and he does a great job of speaking directly to the readers' hearts. Speaking as a writer, this book has given me more than enough inspiration for my own poetry.

If you love poetry definitely purchase !!

i was looking for poetry books that were love themed and had good reviews. i was planning to order a few, and give one to my best friend/girl i’m in love with as one of her christmas gifts. Her favorite color happens to be yellow, so naturally i clicked on this book when i saw the title. i saw it had pretty damn good reviews, so i figured it would be perfect. i actually ordered two, so that i could read it while she was reading it and we could compare our favorites when we were both finished. when the book arrived at my house, i decided to flip through the first few pages. right away i noticed how short the poems were. now instead of flipping through the first few pages in order to get a feel for the writers style, i needed to flip through about 20 pages. the second thing i noticed is how simple the poems were, and not in a good way. as i kept reading them, i quickly decided that i am a better poet than this guy, and that most of his work is short, corny, and does not make you feel anything, as you would hope/expect a romantic poem to do. i still gave it to her, but i explained pretty much exactly what i wrote in this review to her right after she unwrapped it haha. i didn’t want her thinking i thought these poems were deep and meaningful, because they just simply aren’t... anyways, we laughed about it and decided we’d still both read them and mark the ones we thought stood out from all the 5th grade level poems and then compare our “favorites,” or should i say, the ones we didn’t think sucked. would not recommend, even as a gift for a girl you love who’s favorite color is yellow.

I really enjoyed this short read, it's very emotional and I love it. I'll be buying a copy soon. Can't wait to read the other books.
