Brilliant!
This is the best thing ever! I have just moved into a new house where I had to install my own straight, ceiling-mounted curtain tracks and where I live (Luxembourg), these things cost an arm and a leg. So I took a chance on this one and I do not regret it one bit! It arrived this morning, and it took only an hour and a half to install, clean (after drilling, etc) and hang up my curtains. I only ordered for one room to try, but I do have a lounge and a second bedroom that need curtains, so I'll be ordering this track again soon. I just wanted to share a few tips: - The instructions are pretty clear but I did have to go over them a few times to make sure I had the left and right, top and reverse attachments and bits in order (I didn't want to have to undo and redo the work). - The track itself is rolled quite tightly into a coil when it's in its own packaging. Don't be shy when applying a bit of force to straighten it out. I was being quite gentle as I didn't want to bend it the wrong way then have to bend it back into a straight line again, but I found there really is no need to worry about that. - The track is flexible and once it is uncoiled and you are beginning to bend it into shape, I found it best to wait a few minutes to see how the shape of the track "settles" because of its elasticity. You may want to focus on fine tuning the shape in an area or two to get best results, otherwise it won't be as you want it when you begin to attach the track onto the keylock supports. - #5 masonry drill bit was used for the holes (hope that helps! It's probably just me, but I couldn't find any reference to which size drill bit to use, but then again, I'm hardly a DIY expert.) - I used a sharp pair of garden shears to cut the track down to size. With a bit of pressure, they cut smooth and in one go. I found this better than using a saw, etc. All in all, this fantastic product saved me a bundle, in terms of extensive costs, effort and hassle! I was worried about the lounge windows before trying this, but now I know the task will be super easy. I highly recommend this product!!

A fairly inexpensive way to put up curtain track in a bay window.
Fairly straightforward to put up. Only two minor niggles - the track having been delivered tightly rolled up required some ‘gentle’ persuasion to be straight enough to attach to the supports. Also attaching the curtain hooks took some force to ensure they clipped onto the track. Otherwise good way to put up a track to fit a bay window.

The only solution for our living room
We have a non-recessed bay window wall and we wanted day and normal curtains. I didn't want to put a straight rails across the face of the wall as this would've meant losing a lot of space when the curtains are closed, including covering the cabinet. Saw this nifty solution and it was long enough to make two "hanging" and curved rail tracks for both sets of curtains. You have to unravel the track and let it "straighten" out. You can do this by putting some heavy books on it at intervals of 30cm or so. Best to do this 24 hours before you start working! If you're in a rush, just cut to length and bend in the opposite direction! I marked out the track lines before doing anything as I knew this would take some prepping to make sure they're level and parallel to the bay shape. It was a nightmare to install, but that's not the fault of this product. Our bay ceiling has a metal plate above the small gap past the plasterboard and so I had to cut the wall plugs short and use different screws as I couldn't drill all the way through. Despite this, the fixings went in and are very sturdy. Then bending and clipping the the track on is a doddle, it's quite a nice locking system and feels very secure. I was worried about the aesthetics but I think the curtains looks great and it's a very tidy solution too!

Excellent all round
Works very well, strongly recommended. Only snag is the need to weight it down to straighten it beforehand (e.g. overnight). Once set up it glides more smoothly than any other track in the house or that I’ve ever used. Good value, good quality product with everything included for installation.

Not so good for heavy curtains and wide windows needing more than one set.
Unfortunately, while the product itself seems good, these haven't lasted very long and came down three times over the course of trying to use them. We had two sets of heavy thermal double lined curtains on the rail which might have been the issue. I don't fault the rail in honesty but they weren't suitable for what we needed at all. If you have a wide front window and heavy curtains, I'd suggest extra brackets maybe? The rail snapped after trying to put it up for the third time. However, I recommend this product for windows that don't need two sets of curtains, maybe it would have held up one set of heavy curtains if I'd had extra brackets. This would have worked perfectly with middle weight curtains to be 100% sure. The rail was easy to install overall and when it did work, it was actually a great product.

Good Value, Perfect Fit
This is great! We weren't sure how we would afford a curtain track for our bay window but this was the perfect solution. Good value, fit perfectly and was long enough for ours and bigger windows. Bit tricky to straighten but when left for a while under some weights, that was it ready to go.

Easy to install with a very smooth gliding motion
Bought this when my old living room curtain track - installed 20 years ago - gave up the ghost. I can thoroughly recommend. It was very easy to install. Additionally my curtains are heavy, floor length and lined. I added a couple of additional brackets (there were plenty in the pack) and the track easily copes, with the curtains closing and opening really smoothly. The only reason I’m giving an overall score of 4 rather than 5 was the faff of straightening the track from the tight roll it came in. But frankly it was worth the price. Now installed it feels a lot more high-end than you would expect for £22.00.

Klare Kaufempfehlung!

I needed a low cost way to hang a photography backdrop from the ceiling. The backdrop ran across the end of my room, and several feet up both sides in a huge "U" configuration. This is the opposite of how most users install it, and it required bending the plastric track backwards from the way it comes rolled up. That took a little doing, I wound it backwards around a bucket to remove the set curve that went the wrong way. Since I was installing it from a ceiling, and my ceiling was not perfectly flat, I first attached 1 X 2 in fir strips along the planned path. That made installation easy. The brackets are designed to let you hang the track from a ceiling or to put it on a wall. There were plenty of glides supplied, and I used all but about 8 inches of the track. Since I wanter the backdrop to stretch out, and not be pleated like a curtain, I installed grommets in the top of the backdrop, and used 1 in "S" hooks to hold it up. The result is wonderful, it pulls easily and effortlessly all around the almost 16 feet of track. I'd highly recommend this for a low cost way of hanging a curtain or draperies.

The plastic/PVC hooks don't always glide well on the PVC track, at least not for our lightweight, short, cotton curtains. I used a small paintbrush to dab some mineral oil (baby oil) on the parts of the track where the hooks grip. It took around 5 minutes, and now the curtains ZOOM! (I thought about using silicone spray lube, but I've heard mixed reports about whether it makes PVC gummy over time. Mineral oil seemed a bit more inert, so I tried that. No promises on long term results-- but so far so good.) The planning took a lot longer than the installation, but I'm glad I took the time. I measured things several times, marked it out on paper, and then marked it on the ceiling in pencil. Before installing, we spent some time spent carefully bending the track in reverse to straighten it-- it was shipped as a tight coil, which left a lot of curvature. As the instructions say, soaking the track in warm water helps loosen the curves, and I'm pretty sure setting it outside on a sunny day would have helped (but alas, it's winter). After installation, the end result is a nicely curved, fairly smooth, ceiling-mounted track curtain rod. It was relatively easy to install-- with heavy curtains you WILL need some kind of anchors for a ceiling mount, but for our lightweight application it held up fine with just screws fastened directly into drywall. There were a few sections of the track that did not look straight or smoothly curved, so after a few days I went back and adjusted it. I worked from the center of the track and smoothed out the wiggly sections by easing the track from the center to closer to the ends; as I worked, I made small adjustments to where the ceiling anchors clipped into the track: if there seemed to be excess track, I smoothed it over and clipped a different spot onto the anchor. I used these to put a small curtain around the top of my daughter's bunk bed, just for kicks. Now she's got her own hide-out-- fun!
