Perplexing
All the parts are good quality and this company have obviously taken great care when manufacturing the item. Unfortunately it is wired up completely wrongly for an A3 yellow adapter. The biggest potential problem is that the 12 V power terminal (pin 16) at the male end is connected to pin 1 at the female end and not pin 16 as per the spec. As pin 1 is not used in the ELM27 connector there is no harm done but this is only dumb luck in my estimation and could have resulted in a fried ELM if it had been connected to any other pin. I cut off the female end of mine and rewired it myself with a new socket.
