It is so easy to use, especially since iced tea is the beverage of the day here. I like the filter well enough, but have considered using disposable filters, the kind that’s used for coffee. Haven’t done that yet. The water line is well marked and I’ve only poured too much in once because I wasn’t paying attention. Pay attention and there will be no problems. I do NOT add ice to the pitcher. Cold water only and then add ice to the glasses. Some have complained about the included glass pitcher. I noticed the first day that the pitcher is too thin and fragile and I don’t use it. Instead, I use a sturdy plastic 1/2 gallon pitcher from a well-known company. I haven’t had any problems at all. I also use the maker 2x in order to have a full gallon of tea. No lemon, no sugar, just delicious ice cold, iced tea once I pour it over a glass full of ice.
