Great for my use!
First time using a spray gun...takes a bit of getting used to! One tip, don't start on a low number, the amount of paint that comes out seems to be the same but not dispersed as well as at higher pressures! After not reading the manual and figuring it out solo, this gun gave great results but you either need to be spraying an empty room with no flooring or spend a ton of time prepping to cover everything. I cannot express EVERYTHING enough! I made the initial mistake of laying a few dust sheets...you need to weigh them down as the spray gun pressure will blow them all over the place and paint will get on the floor Great product though and gave perfect results. Just stand a meter away, high pressure (number 5) and steady / consistent movement to get even coverage

Practice make perfect
After my disastrous attempt of oil base eggshell on vintage cast iron radiators I finally got the hang of it as a DIY amateur. So I used vasplar v700 emulsion, diluted with 25% (1 liter water over 5l paint). I use their lance tool too. The lance is disproportionately expensive, but worth the investment. With dilution you archive better even and smooth effect. And generally you don't need to worry about over painting or "bands". Once dry you can paint over again. No marks. But it is not for oil base paint or on small intricate objects unless you are a pro car body shop technician. It dripped!!! I spent weeks to sand down and repaint after the eggshell disaster! And you will spent a lot on white spirit for rinsing.

A Game-Changer for Painting Projects, but Cleanup Requires Care
I don't see the point of writing reviews on the item being delivered - we all know how good Amazon delivery is so what's the point? You want to know how I got on with the product right? - Here goes: I got got this sprayer for a large home renovation project, and it’s been an absolute game-changer! This paint sprayer is packed with features that make it an excellent choice for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals. Impressive Coverage and Efficiency One of the standout features of this sprayer is its incredible coverage. It easily covered 15 m² in just 2 minutes, significantly speeding up my painting project. Whether I was working with dispersion/latex paints or varnishes and glazes, the sprayer delivered a smooth and even coat every time. The time saved alone made this purchase worth it. Adjustable Spray Pressure for Precision The adjustable spray pressure is another great feature. It allowed me to fine-tune the spray to suit different surfaces and types of paint. Whether I needed a lighter touch for delicate areas or full power for large surfaces, the ControlPro 250 R handled it all with ease. The 110 bar pressure is more than enough to get the job done quickly and effectively. Long Hose for Easy Maneuverability The 9-meter hose is a fantastic addition, giving me plenty of flexibility to move around without constantly repositioning the sprayer. This was especially useful when painting larger areas, as I didn’t have to worry about being tethered too close to the base unit. It’s a small detail, but it made a big difference in the overall ease of use. Durable and Well-Designed The build quality of the WAGNER ControlPro 250 R is top-notch. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, designed to last through many projects. The unit is also surprisingly compact for its power, making it easy to store when not in use. The design is intuitive, and setting it up was straightforward, even for someone who isn’t a professional painter. Con: Tricky Cleanup The only downside I’ve encountered is the cleanup process. It’s quite tricky and needs to be done thoroughly to maintain the quality of the spraying. If you don’t clean the equipment properly, it can affect performance in future projects. While this is a bit of a hassle, it’s a small price to pay for the overall quality and efficiency this sprayer provides. Final Thoughts Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the WAGNER Airless ControlPro 250 R Paint Sprayer. It delivers on its promises with impressive coverage, easy adjustability, and a long hose for added convenience. The cleanup is a bit of a chore, but it’s essential to keep the sprayer in top condition. Despite this minor inconvenience, it’s been a great investment for my renovation projects, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient paint sprayer!

Pile of crap
This is a waste of money . You have to water the paint down so it’s like water . Then the only way to get a nice even spray is to turn the pressure up which means you put loads of paint on the surface which means you waste loads of paint and if you get a run can’t remove it . Also cleaning the whole thing is tedious much better guns about for the money .

Amazing way to cover big areas quickly.
Sometimes it is better to buy the original / best brand so I decided to replace another problem sprayer with this one. It works well, is well made and nice to use. It suffers from the same problem of wasted paint and horrible cleanup that all sprayers suffer from. It uses about 1.0 - 1.2l of paint by the time it is primed and reaches the spray nozzle. I haven’t managed to achieve spraying with no oversray / spray dust as claimed in the blurb but maybe more fiddling with pressure / practice may help. Finish achieved is perfect; I am not new to spraying but not a pro.

Not for the faint hearted
This is a pro tool and committed DIYer. We bought a house that needed every room painting, top to bottom. So we decided to get a tool to do it and do it well. There are three barriers to using an airless sprayer, room prep (masking everything off), spray technique (not applying too much or too little paint is depressingly easy) and clean up (keeping the tool in good working order requires spanner’s to strip everything down after every usage, it is messy and time consuming). The pre spray setup is intimidating, a lot of things to do, in the right order. Not helped at all by awful instructions and lack of clear labels on the sprayer. If Wagner just labelled the Prime/Spray knob it would make it easier, especially for first time users. The instructions are really bad for putting the filter in, it is too easy to put in upside down which is going to get very messy when you start spraying. Also, the manuals are incredibly bad for working out which spray tip with which filter type. It is only clear if you buy additional Wagner filters and there is a useful guide printed on the back of the packet. It took three attempts over three days before we started getting ok results. Each attempt takes quite a while to setup and a lot of time and effort to clean up. The first attempt we used the wrong tip with the wrong filter, which resulted in a spray volume that wouldn’t have challenged an asthmatic ant. The second attempt with the right filter/tip resulted but a paint dilution/ pressure setting that was too high combined with poor spray technique resulted in over spraying and a lot of dripping/ over painting. The third attempt, and it was a moving target, because we used a Matt emulsion for the ceiling, satin emulsion for three walls and another colour for the fourth wall, but we got an ok/good result on that one, the right tip, the right filter, the right spray power and a better technique worked out giving a good result. We started with a little used spare bedroom, that we are putting built in wardrobes into, so most of our mistakes won’t show. Clean up is made harder by Wagner’s design of the main compressor unit, instead of making it streamlined they made it full of paint traps all over it, requiring a lot of fiddly unnecessary clean up in cracks and crevices. A little bit of thought here would make it much easier to clean up. Or I guess just do as the professionals do, don’t clean the unit at all :-). Overall I can see the value and have seen tantalising possibilities of great results, and I am sure as we will get better as we work through the house. Wagner can significantly improve this product by doing a better job with the manual, labelling up controls ob the compressor and designing the case for compressor to make it easier to clean up. Three stars because Wagner could easily make this difficult to master tool much much easier.

Cheap rubbish hose makes this horrible to use
Supplied with a cheap plastic hose instead of rubber. The hose comes tightly coiled which means two things: 1. It doesn't lay flat on the ground. Instead it coils in the air, remains very springy, and tries its hardest to scuff your freshly painted walls. Not so much a problem in a very large room, but happens frequently in a small/medium room. It's near impossible to remove the scuff marks with the sprayer - instead you need to wait for the paint to dry, sand it, and then re-spray (as using a roller will give a different finish) 2. Because the hose remains coiled and doesn't lay flat, the springy movement of it pulls on the gun. You can counter this by holding the hose in your left hand, but it's still very annoying. Takes forever to clean properly. And finally, masking prep work is extensive due to the wide field of spray. While this sprayer does provide a superior flat finish to any other method (brush, roller, pads), it takes extensively longer due to masking up doors, windows, switches, and the ceiling if you're only spraying walls. On a solo operation this is a nightmarish waste of time to use. With someone to help with masking it's probably more worth it . Definitely recommend for things that need minimal masking like painting fences, sheds etc.

It's a paint drinking beast...
It'll go through a tub of rough cut fence paint very quickly, but gives good even coverage and saves time and effort. Just get more than you think you'll need. What would have taken days with a roller or brush took an afternoon. Including a trip to B&Q for another bucket of paint... The fence hadn't been painted in years so it may have been thirsty... It takes a while to clean it out, put the suction hose in a bucket of water, turn it to cleaning and dispense the paint into its bucket until it gets a bit runny. rinse the paint suction hose and a used paint bucket and it's a lot quicker, feed it plenty of water and point it down a drain to clean it out. Run it's pump through with mineral oil and jobs done.
