Mini Microphone Mini Notebook Mic 3.5 mm Socket Notebook Microphone, Compatible for PC Laptop Notebook (1 Piece/Black)

I bought this as a microphone solution for a VR headset that doesn't have a microphone/headphone built in and it works pretty well for how cheap it is. Works well with a headphone/mic splitter to go into one single port and the sound quality is quite decent for the price. It sounds very slightly muffled possibly due to the foam tip it comes with, but at the same time naturally filters out a lot of background noise as well and still works well enough to be understood when speaking. It pretty much needs to be right next to your mouth to be audible so only really works well as a headset solution. It's pretty flexible as you can see in the image and I just tape it down so it doesn't rotate in the socket. I attached a video if you want an idea of what it sounds like (I am the first speaker asking the question).

I think the built in mic on my laptop is near the fan so I was getting reports of my mic going in and out for online meetings and that I sound muffled. Purchased this because I didn't want to take up a USB port and didn't want to take up any space on my desk. This goes into the aux port on the side and stays upright. I'm able to bend it toward me and my co-workers report that I sound great now. This was the cheapest of 3 mics I purchased for this purpose and sounded the best so the only one I'm keeping.

I got this thinking it would help me with meetings on my laptop and it was not working at all. Do not buy it….. please

Liked the size and design. Perfect for what we needed it for. Works perfect.

Wouldn’t recommend. Used for one day. Audio is very distorted/crackly. Steadily got worse through out the day. Used in a GoPro 10 media mod. I got it mainly because of the 90 deg plug and short semi rigid leed.
