I use this as a sperate controller just for my moving head lights and put 1 light on one of the 12 scanner buttons along the top of the controller. 8 Channels across give me pan, tilt, master, red, green, blue, white, and speed. If I use 14 channel mode the page button allows me to access channel 9-16. Light 1 = DMX Channel 001 Light 2 = DMX Channel 017 Light 3 = DMX Channel 033 Light 4 = DMX Channel 049 etc. Light # x 16 + 1 and that is your starting DMX address for that light. Great for creating steps/scenes then applying any scene as a step in a chase to create great fx. Hit a chase button, tap or sync to musing and you have a light show. Have had this controller about a year now and still no issues. Have wiped and reprogrammed moving head light scenes and chases. No issues. This is a great little controller, very reliable.

I bought this as I was new to DMX lighting. I bought it first while I purchased lighting a little at a time. My fault I did not test it when it arrived. Opened it today. It will not power up. The link the book provides for a tutorial is no longer available. I got took.

This is a capable little board with good functionality. You can address 172 DMX channels in 12 16 channel fixture banks, and can save preset scenes and program sequences. It is fully functional, portable, solid, and a great value for the money. But - good luck figuring that out. The manual is less than helpful. So unless you're actually familiar with setting up lighting cues, it's pretty obscure. Even so. I've used this controller in my shop for testing and sorting my fixtures. And used it on simple gigs to control room lighting. The BIG CAVEAT here is build quality. Even though the case and parts are all high quality, after about a year I noticed that my lights were flickering and resetting at odd times and that some fixtures were not responding to inputs. Eventually I sorted out that physically flexing the board (whacking it on the table) temporarily improved things. So (being out of warranty) I opened up the case to have a look inside. Very nice simple design. Good quality components and connectors. - *BUT about 15% of the solder joints on the dimmer board were iffy.* Once I resoldered them things were perfect again. But not everyone caan open a case to resolder the bad connections.

Took a bit to understand how controller worked. I had a dmx dimmer pack for part of my light kit, and also a set of color changing fixtures. The unit does a self test when turned on says 192 then will say 101. When you want to control channels 1-8… press top left button labeled 1. For 9-16 press 2 etc. seems great for price. But could use a better setup guide. I would rate it a 4 out of 5 for quality. Like all dmx you must set the address on each device. But does the job well. Happy with purchase!

That's great, so nice! With the lights on, the summer party is starting!!! lol!!!! So far everything has been very good, very satisfied!!!

Instructions are not put together well. After sitting down with it for over an hour I had all the fixtures programmed. I turned the unit off for the night and back on the next day only to find it lost over half the fixtures in the program. I have spent 30 mins trying to get back into DMX programming mode but it will not allow me.

Extremely poorly written instructions. QR code video tutorial is non-existent. Zero email or other online help. After you (the end user) overcome these burdens, this controller IS a good value for the price. I suggest viewing the other videos posted in the reviews. UNPROFESSIONAL of the manufacturer to provide such inadequate support for an otherwise decent, acceptable product
