Cheap stocking fillers! Excellent game for preteen girl.
This Ravensburger “That’s Not a Hat” party game is a brilliantly simple concept that turns into surprisingly chaotic and hilarious fun very quickly, making it a great choice for families, mixed-age groups, or casual game nights. The gameplay is very easy to learn in minutes, which is a big strength. Players pass cards face down while trying to remember what they “gave” or “received,” but as the round progresses, memory quickly becomes unreliable and bluffing often becomes the only way to avoid penalties. This creates a lot of laughter and light-hearted accusations, especially in larger groups. It works particularly well as a filler game because rounds are short (around 10 minutes), so it’s easy to play multiple times in one sitting. The compact box also makes it ideal for travel, holidays, or bringing out quickly at gatherings. What makes it enjoyable is how quickly things unravel — even confident players often end up second-guessing themselves, and the game naturally creates funny moments rather than serious competition. If I had one minor downside, it would be that it’s quite repetitive after several plays in a row, and it really depends on group energy. It shines with the right crowd but may feel a bit too simple for players who prefer deeper strategy games. Overall, this is a quick, entertaining party game that delivers a lot of laughs for very little setup, and it works best as a light, social game rather than a long-term strategy experience.

Great laugh
Great fun, it's harder than you'd think which makes it super funny and entertaining! It's easy to understand the rules, easy to play, great value for money, and the box is nice and small.

Best game ever.
The funniest game I’ve played in ages. We had players between the ages of 12 to 70 playing and we were all crying.

Great quick family game
This is such a simple game and really cheap to buy, but had brought us hours of fun playing as a family wherever we go due to its small size making it very portable You quickly forget what everyone has and it becomes a hilarious game of bluffing as you battle to not get caught out. As all the cards are picture cards, it’s suitable for all ages too!

Stressfully fun memory game
That’s not a hat is a fast paced memory game of remembering a number of simple pictures as cards more around the table face down. It’s one of those games that you will either love or hate! Cards have clear simple line drawings of everyday objects and everyone is dealt one. Everyone reveals their card and then places it face down. Another card is drawn from the top of the deck revealed and then given face down to a player. This player passed their oldest card to the left or right depending on the arrow on the back and says ‘this is a telephone’ the next player accepts this and so it carries on or calls them out with the loser of the call keeping the card as punishment. Easy to learn, fun and a great price. It will be too stressful for some people though so bear that in mind.

Properly nuts
This game is hilarious. Played this at the end of a night of board games and haven't laughed so much in a long time. In this game each player gets an card featuring an item. The items are pretty random stuff like surfboards, dogs, walking sticks, &c. At the start of the game you all start with your card face up, so everyone can see what everyone has. Then the start player flips their card over and slides it in the direction of the arrow on the card back saying "here's a lovely teapot" or whatever the item happens to be. The receiving player flips their original card over and slides that in the direction of the arrow. Play continues like this and soon you're passing around face down cards only. If you think the card you receive doesn't have what the person claims it to be then you can challenge it by saying "that's not a boot" (for example). If you're right, it's not a boot, then the lying/mistaken player gets the card face up as a negative point. If you're wrong and it is as they claim, then you get it instead. First play to fail three times loses This all sounds very easy: there are only as many cards in play as players plus an extra one, so it should be easy to remember, right? But there's a massive bluffing aspect. If you can't remember what a card is, you can confidently claim it's one of the cards you do remember and the receiving player quite often loses confidence in their own memory. Soon the bluff becomes the truth, and everyone's laughing in hysterics when the card everyone thought was a ball for ages is actually an apple. Great for a few laughs over some beers or in the early hours after a long day of heavy gaming.

Bueno, bonito y barato

Tons of laughs, a real test for your brain!
I have a total love-hate relationship with this game! It is incredibly easy to learn and teach to almost any age group, but it is definitely hard to master. The gameplay is super quick, and there is almost no strategy needed. It is pure memory. It's amazing how quickly your brain shorts out trying to remember something so simple! We get tons of laughs every single time we bring it to the table. Highly recommend if you want a chaotic, hilarious filler game.
