Learn to Read at Home with Bug Club Phonics: Pack 2 (Pack of 4 fiction books) (Phonics Bug)

Lovely little books, great for beginner readers and those who still have difficulty with certain phonic sounds and words like ck, my, no, go, he etc. Wouldn’t recommend for children with visual stress, my daughter has irlens and can only read using orange overlay, but because every page has a different colour behind the text she can’t read them.

Was after some reading books for my 5 year old during covid lockdown. I looked at several and wanted something that would be interesting and value for money and thankfully that's what we got with these. My daughter is able to read these with me then on her own and goes back to them to read them again. Lovely books in the fact the pages are are a lovely thickness and the dexterity is that, that a toddler can turn them. Overal fantastic.

These are fantastic for my almost 4 year old. Started phonics during lockdown and she can read 3 letter words...this book is compiled of easy sentences of 3 letter (and sone 4 letter) words so she feels proud that she can read a book all by herself.

Books are brilliant. They include much of phase 2 phonics sounds and have been working wonders with a young boy who can now read some simple CVC words. Although great for phase 2 sounds, it is useful to note that they do have capital letters at the beginning of sentences. I know this is kind of expected but as we have not learned capital letters yet, this has posed some confusion, however other than this, fantastic buy!

I like these books. It is perfect for children who start with reading. It also gives you instruction to help and support your children in reading. Quite useful. I would recommend it.

Brilliant books for little ones wanting to learn how to read. My lg is 4 and within a few weeks she can already read a lot of the words without and problems. Will be buying the others in the collection.

Excellent books to help my little boy with his reading he flew through these books and loved them, fantastic value for money highly recommend for helping with reading.

Bit too short and sentences incomplete

Everything is as described. The quality of the pages is good and colours are deep. The books are well made but they are much thinner than expected. My three-year-old has been asking to learn to read, so I thought these might be a good start but she wasn't interested. I also found them too awkward to read and didn't enjoy them, so we were a little disspointed. I am not a teacher so maybe someone with teaching experpiene can use the books differently and find them helpful. Unfortunatley, they weren't for us and we'll be trying somehting different.
