I took one capsule (to mitigate any adverse reactions) on an empty stomach as I started to cook dinner. Before I was done cooking, I experienced a pleasant and relaxing sensation, not dissimilar to hemp oil, or Xanax. The sensation was not subtle, it was quite pronounced. I’m allergic to hemp, and I only use Xanax occasionally when I really need to relax and get to sleep. It’s great to have 60 capsules of this Healthy Gut BeSERENE for relaxation and sleep. After dinner, I watched an NHL playoff game, and answered some emails. I get keyed up watching hockey, (and writing emails), so I didn’t get to sleep until late. I usually have one or two margaritas in the evening, and this evening was no exception. I woke after 5.5 hours to empty my bladder, a usual occurrence. On waking, I had some very minor headache symptoms, not really painful, but duly noted. Awakening an hour later, that minor head discomfort was almost gone and mostly subsided as I started my day. It’s possible the minor headache symptoms were a side effect of another medication I take. I could see how taking (2) of these tablets might really help with getting to sleep. I’ve noted that other reviewers are taking a one-capsule dose, and that’s what I’m likely to do. I don’t see myself taking this nightly, but it will be incredibly welcome on the evenings I do take it. When I take melatonin, I consistently get nightmares. I never got into the habit of using it and haven’t taken it for more than 15 years. I hope this initial experience of this Healthy Gut BeSERENE continues to be how it is for me. If I have different experiences with it that deserve airing here, I will edit this review. I like that this is from a Boulder, Colorado company.

Misleading ingredients, not effective for stress relief. Would not accept a return and now I’m stuck with an ineffective product and wasted money

There are so many products on the market to help with stress and sleeping. I have tried several, some work, some don't seem to have much effect. I really like that this product addresses adrenal fatigue as that is rampant in today's society. I also like that while the serving size is 2 capsules per day, they also suggest you may take them every 3 hours between 1 PM and 8 PM if needed. I think that is wise to be able to use this if you are under extreme stress so that you can keep it in your system fresh and able to assist. I took 2 capsules last night at 7 PM. I became quite sleepy and relaxed by 9 and went to bed shortly after. Often once I actually go to bed I will become wide awake but last night I turned my light off and drifted off to sleep quickly. I slept well through the night, had a crazy dream in the morning that was quite funny (I rarely seem to remember my dreams) and felt rested and humored when I woke up! While these are a bit pricey, if they give you the calmness and relaxation necessary, they are worth every penny. I only wish I had them when I was in a high stress job! They are worth trying!

I have been using BeSerene for several years. I have found that my level of calmness is significant when I take it and I can concentrate better during the day. I usually take one capsule in the morning and one at night before bed. On more stressful days, I will take another capsule in early afternoon. I would highly recommend BeSerene to anyone who would like to reduce their level of stress during the day.

I have plenty of trouble falling asleep. Part of it is trying to stay on my phone at night. Part of it is just having too many thoughts and my brain trying to stay up. These capsules are designed to help calm your mind to be able to get a good night's sleep. I really like how this is an herbal mix and not some habit forming formula. The only negatives would be that it's a little expensive and the ingredients are clumped in a proprietary blend, but it works well.

I am officially diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency. It is a serious problem for me. So my review will not reflect the typical more healthy viewpoint, but nevertheless might be helpful as a perspective. I REALLY appreciate having this product available to me. As I already mentioned, I need ALL the support I can get, but big pharma can really only provide me with steroids and some adrenal supplementation; both of which are to be utilized with great caution. So I will be being VERY careful and consulting with my trusted health professionals. I advise you to be doing your OWN research as well. But boy, does this stuff look good! The balance and combination of the supplement ingredients and components is thoughtful and safe. The serving size recommendation is 2 capsules a day. The label is well organized and very clear. It has appropriate warnings and cautions. Please read them! The label also has the manufacturer’s contact information and credentials. The ingredient list also includes information for any of us who suffer from allergies, so if you read the label thoroughly and responsibly, you will be safe from surprises. The lot number and expiration date (unopened, of course) are stamped on the bottom of the white plastic shrink wrapped bottle. The shrink wrap assures me the product has not been tampered with during shipping and handling. This is important to me! Also notice I did scribble out the lot number. I am excited to begin this supplement therapy. If I have any issues that would apply to the average consumer, I will post them here in an update, but this product looks very good for me. I am hopeful it will help me, but it is good to know it is well balanced, safe, and properly produced and sourced.
