Octagon Tent Carpet

My friend and I have the Coleman 8 man octagon tent that this carpet was made for, we've had the tent a few years and have found it could do with decent insulation at the ground level, as British summer nights get rather nippy. Anyhoo, the moment we layed this custom made carpet in the tent, we instantly felt the difference, not only in heat insulation, but also how soft it felt underfoot - much more comfy when barefoot! It also reduced movement noise considerably, as beforehand the slightest shift of weight caused crinkle sounds, now with the carpet, there's barely any motion sounds at all. Considering there's usually 3 or 4 of us staying in there for a week at a time, it makes the experience all the more enjoyable! It's also worth noting, that before we had the tent carpet, we'd have to bring several bulky blankets to insulate our air beds from the ground, as well as between the air bed and our sleeping bags - we now no longer need to do all that, as the carpet offers more than enough thermal protection to stop our air beds becoming ice buckets! Added bonus of much less bulk to bring too! The carpet is certainly made to fit, the dimensions are perfect for inside the tent, it doesn't slip around and offers better grip under foot than the bare tent floor. It's also super water repellent, any spilled drinks were easily wiped up, any mud that made it inside was easily wiped up too. The addition of this carpet has brought our Glamping game up to a whole new level, it's certainly worth the investment, I wish we'd found this sooner! Thoroughly recommended!

This made the tent floor so comfortable

Nice matt, could have been thicker. It's a bit slippery but maybe that's because it's new. The pattern is neutral and easy to look at, goes with everything. Has the colman logo on two corners, so it looks like part of the set.

It's definitely not what I expected. First of all, it doesn't fit perfectly. Secondly, the bottom does not block the carpet from moving. This is completely incomprehensible. There should be rubber there that prevents the carpet from slipping. Moreover, it is not comfortable enough, a bit too thin and not very pleasant. As usual, a great idea for a product and then execution that reduces production costs. Overall, poor quality product
