I stared at the sun and am not blind yet.
Bought it for the 2024 eclipse, worked pretty well. It attached easily to my budget telescope and I did not go blind while staring at the sun through it, so I count it as a success.

Does the job
Works great for viewing the sun safely with my 70AZ. Seems overpriced for what you get though... just a plastic cap with the same kind of solar film as those cardboard eclipse glasses. For $25 I'd feel better if the filter was made of plastic. The film works, but it's cheap and fragile. One accidental bump and you'd likely ruin it.

It works, for the most part.
I'm not blind yet, so the filter clearly works quite well. What doesn't work as well are the attachment thumbscrews. They're cheap plastic, and break incredibly easily. Luckily my 70mm refractor makes for a Snug Fit without the screws, but that could cause a huge (and dangerous) issue for telescopes that are smaller. The screws need to be swapped for metal ones.

Works on 7X50 binoculars too!
Bought these on the hope of using them on my 7x50 binoculars. They work well! Much better deal than buying Celestron's EclipseSmart binoculars which, in my experience, are not very well made.

Didn't really fit, and the screws are pretty short. For a general purpose
Got to try to watch the Eclipse, but didn't really work out so good. For a general purpose item like that this attaches via the screws, they probably should have selected much longer screws, to allow fitting on a broader range of units. This isn't really a defect, I can't say it's a bad unit or poorly made, it just didn't fit or work right for my size telescope.

Worked great
Purchased this for our Celestron astromaster 70 AZ telescope and it fit and performed perfectly. We were able to get some cool pictures of the eclipse.

Used it on telescope and camera for eclipse.

I bought 2 of them because they fit perfectly my 10x50 Bushnell binoculars. That way I can clearly see sunspots on the Sun! I firstly used it on April 8 to watch the eclipse... now, because of the strong solar activity of 2024, sunspots had been visible almost the whole year!

Great item did exactly what it was attended for.

I bought this filter to use on a camera lens. It works very well for me and even though I have very little experience with solar photography I am happy with my results. This filter enabled me to try solar photography without spending a lot of money.

great pair to the SVBony 106 60mm refractor/guide scope I purchased at the same time. going to be good enough for the eclipse. Not bad for my first ever solar image, it even captured some sunspots! well worth the investment.

It's going back as the quality is not what I expected. It's listed as a Celestron branded product, but is a generic non-Celestron knock off. Ok for the price I suppose, but misleading and disappointing.
