Quality project/lab microphone
Great microphones for lab projects. Much better range and quality than I was expecting.

Mic and pre-amp module max4466
I used these mic/preamp modules in a project that I 3d printed, a Sound activated esp32 neopixel lamp. The modules arrived quickly and worked perfectly. The PCBs look great. There's a gain control on back. I have used 2 of the 3 I ordered and had no issue at all and the 2 lamps have been running nonstop since the modules arrived with no issues at all. I have not tried to record or listen to the audio this module outputs. I am just flickering lights with audio peaks.

It is a great little mic for D1mini projects using analog A0 (3.3vdc). using for sound activated smart LED bar.

This is a copy of the Adafruit model 1063, well actually it's almost a copy. The schematic shown in the product description was copied from the Adafruit GitHub repo and it shows the non-adjustable gain resistor R7 as 22 K. When combined with the 100 K pot this would give a gain of about 25 to 125. However, all three microphones I received have a 2.2 K resistor for R7, decreasing the gain to a range of 2 to 100. But in reality the pots don't go to 100 K, I tested 85 K, 93 K and 96 K. So the maximum gain could be as low as about 87. I wasn't able to get enough gain so I cut the trace to R7 and soldered a 20 K in series. Now it works better, but that was a lot of work to fix a dumb mistake. If you're connecting this to a NodeMCU or Weemos D1 or some board with a built in voltage divider on the ADC and you're ok with a signal that's about one third the full range, this might work for you, otherwise get the one from Adafruit.
