This is a book that give you the knowledge of different types of Mutual Funds and how to analyze which fund to enter. I feel we shall not take advice from this book as it depends on various factors. It is mostly suitable for people who do SIP. Those who has money to invest in advance, shall not follow the same. Example, not to invest in real estate is not a correct statement as it varies. I feel one must invest in real estate but at a place where price momentum exists like Gurgaon, Mumbai etc. Also screening the Mutual funds is to figure out how the fund managers are behaving. Looking to analyze for a long term is not a right approach. Look for those duration when the index was more less flat and how the Mutual fund behaved. I could only find few Flexicap funds that has beaten the index as they mitigate against market uncertainties. During bull run cycle almost all of the mutual funds in equity space perform well.
