Wonderful, reusable product
This was my first time trying a menstrual disc and I wasn't exactly sure what size to go for and ended up going too small. I reached out to Pixie customer services and they were lovely enough to send me a larger size. For a first time user I do really appreciate that the disc has a stem, I tried the hooking my finger over the rim and it just didn't work so this design is really helpful. The disc itself is quite soft but also feels sturdy and once it's in it is really easy to forget that it's there. The disc comes with a little bag, some feminine wipes and plant based lubricant. It's great for being on the go and is quite inconspicuous. It's really obvious that this whole set was designed with care and thoughtfulness and it's lovely to see.

Great customer service
Really great alternative to a cup as it doesn't require suction. Customer service is super helpful if you have any problems!

Better than using a menstrual cup
I had used a menstrual cup for many years, and then I found a menstrual disc but I'm scared to try because I read so many bad experiences from using menstrual discs. Then I found Pixie with many good reviews about menstrual discs. I ordered a small disc because my period is not that much each month. I like that the disc is way easier to insert and more comfortable than the cup. I think I chose the wrong size because it did leak. So I contacted the Pixie team directly. The Pixie team they're very helpful and they sent me a large disc. I haven't had a chance to try it yet but fingers crossed the large size will work for me.

Really excited to give this a go
Some of the best customer service. They don’t exaggerate about this. The cup was comfortable but a bit big. They swapped me out for a smaller cup. I haven’t had a chance to try out the smaller cup yet though

I get leaks, unsure if right fit
I purchased the disk after years of using menstrual cups as I wanted to be able to have mess free sex. I’ve used it for two periods now but I get leaks constantly. I purchased the small one as I have a low cervix. I definitely place it correctly as I’m familiar with the anatomy. However, if I move, cough or laugh it moves and empties all the content. I’m not sure if it’s perhaps too small for me?

I am really impressed! The pixie disc comes with a cute little zip bag with wipes etc in. It's super flexible and easy to use. The customer service is absolutely amazing. I contacted them after having trouble with leaking, they helped me and sent me the next size disc, free of charge! So helpful and caring, I am super impressed!

Test it and see, it's great
Excellent product. I wish I tried it before. I got PIXIE sanitizing silicone cup too. Makes sterilisation process so much quicker and easy. I'm a first time user and bought the incorrect size. The company's customer service was outstanding and super efficient. I was offered a new product the size that would fit me free of charge. Thanks for your help and making this experience smooth and easy.

Okay! I ordered this product a while ago, but I wanted to wait until I had used it a few times to be able to write an honest and comprehensive review. So here it is: I have used tampons and pads, the more 'traditional' period products forever. After recent studies showing trace amounts of metal in tampons, I decided to switch to reusable period products. Yes, I know the amount of metal isn't deadly, but I thought this would be a good way to reduce waste and save some money as well. At first, I tried a menstrual cup, which didn't work for me at all. I had tried one-use discs in the past with no luck, so I was a little skeptical about trying this, but I ended up getting it anyway to see if this was any different. I would say that this is a good product and is MUCH easier to use than a menstrual cup. Along with this, if you get squeamish around blood I would recommend purchasing the applicator that the company offers separately since it can get a little messy. Also, I only purchased the small size thinking I wouldn't need/be able to use the larger size, but as the company suggests I would recommend the combo pack since I do find myself cleaning the disc multiple times throughout a heavy flow day. Now for the parts that maybe aren't so great: 1. it does get a little messy, and is a bit hard to deal with in a public space, but I have found workarounds 2. the 'auto-empty' feature: I think I may just be skeptical, I do think it works, but sometimes I'm not sure it 're-positions' itself correctly 3. I'm not always 100% sure I've placed it correctly, and it has leaked. I think this is due to the need for more practice to figure out how exactly to place it. WOW! If you made it all the way down here, good for you! (I'm glad you took the time to read, I read so many reviews trying to decide whether or not I wanted to buy this product) But short and sweet, I think that this is a great product if you want to try reusable period products and a menstrual cup didn't work for you, or just freaks you out, it is a little friendlier. But I hope this helped, and the information was good, thanks for reading!

This one with the applicator is very easy to put in and take out. Also, very comfortable! I’m never using tampons again! I love how easy it is to clean and how much more cost effective it is!

I was super nervous to try this but now I'll never go back to anything else! Tampons gave me weird pains everytime I used them. And they're covered in chemicals. Never sat right with me to have chemicals touching my cervix. Gave this disc a try and I'm fully converted haha. It does everything it claims to, and it was so comfy I could hardly tell it was there until it was full. (I have sensory issues and I'm hyper aware of things on or in me lol) I really recommend giving it a try. The bag is really cute too!

Okay so i now have two of this disc but that is because i wasn't paying attention when I bought the blue one and it was a large. So it wasn't comfortable when I would insert it. It was still uncomfortable when I say down and I felt pressure on my bladder. So i went back and ordered the small and this is so much better. That was my mistake though, not this company's. I almost have about everything this company has and I have really no complaints on their products except for one but that's just the way the product was made (I assume) I still use it though because it works. But yeah, check the sizing before you buy. I have not had any births but sometimes my menstrual cycle can be heavy so with cups I use a large but with the disc I have to use a small. Now if you're a first time user, let me explain how to help you with it. If you don't have their lubricant for disc or cups, wet it with water. But first make sure your hands are clean!!! After wetting/lubricanting the disc, fold/pinch the middle to make them come together so it will kind of look like a hour glass shape. Do this in the shower by sitting on your heels or if you feel confident enough, the toliet when sitting down. When inserting, point down and slowly push forward until you feel a wall (cervix) and gently tilt up some. The hour glass shape you made will unfold itself once it's sitting nicely in the vaginal cavity. You will feel it some at first because you have something new inside of you, but you will get use to it. I do recommend that you use a pad when using a disc or cup at first until you get the hang of it. Now for removing: you can do this in your shower/tub or if you're really good at it, at the toliet. So you're going for the shower, squat or crouch down on your heels. Make sure your hands are clean everytime you insert or remove. Grab the tail or rim of the disc and slowly pull up. Pull the way your cavity is formed so it won't be uncomfortable. It will be messy until you find your pattern so this is why so many recommend the shower to remove the disc. Even a menstrual cup. I remove both at the toliet so it's not so messy, but this is me. Then dump, wash out the remains or use a wipe if you're not at home and reinsert. Always try not to panic if you don't get it the first time. If you're tense, then removing will be difficult. Just relax, breathe, and go slowly. It will be a cake walk once you get the routine down. For washing/putting away after the cycle has ended, sanitize your cup/disc. Either with their steamers or you boil your disc in a pot of water for 5-8 minutes. What I do is, I use the pixie cup wash, then place it into the steamer and once it's done and dry, I to its baggie and into my drawer for the next cycle. Also please, please, please before using wash and boil your cup/disc/kegel weight before using. Always keep your hands clean when removing and inserting as well.
