Works exactly as designed by Saab
Alright so I wanted to make sure I came on here and wrote a review once I confirmed it was good. First off I am an ASE certified master tech over 16 years of experience. I'm a Saab enthusiast. This key worked 100% as it should with zero complications in the programing process. That being said, if you do not have a GM dealer that will still do Saabs or a certified lock Smith this will not work. I programed mine with a tech 2 factory GM scan tool with a Saab card installed. It also requires tis2000 software to gain security access on the tech 2. The software tis2000 only operates on Windows XP so you either need an old laptop or a new one with a virtual machine set up on it. You also need a serial port or serial port adapter for this to function as well. If you have all of those things once you follow the process the key programs instantly without hesitation and is of decent quality. The key blank will have to be laser cut at a local locksmith. All in all I am very pleased. Also if you no longer have a key at all for the Saab you will not be able to program this one. You need one existing key already programmed and still working for this process to work. If you lost all keys you will need a cim module (located behind the steering wheel) and key paired to that module. As long as you have an existing key and the above provisions this will work effortlessly with a 433mhz car. Make sure you have the correct frequency. These keys are 433mhz which most US Saabs are. Hopefully this will help the next Saab guy like me who had cheap shit Chinese ones before that would not program.

Amazing
I never write reviews for items but i thought i had to for this. Simply put, these work and are an amazing solution if you dont want to shell out hundreds on an oem key. I had mine programmed by a saab shop, as others stated you either need a saab/gm specialist to program the key or a tech 2 to do it yourself. My mechanic was very surprised and pleased that the key worked, he even asked to write down the product so he can recommend it to other customers. If they can revise the physical key getting stuck in the housing problem, this is a perfect product.

The best you can get for the price.
Great alternative to genuine fobs, which are certainly expensive. As long as you have the tools required to marry them to the CIM, they work perfectly. Tell you what, the blades don't budge without an incredible amount of pulling. I managed to break handle from blade before separation. Other than that, absolutely recommend.

Key shaft won't come out with any force. Needs design revision
Ordered 2 fobs. Both had the key shaft stuck in. Even qith excessive force they wont come out. Eventually one came with the internal housing that is holding it stuck on it. Basically the housing broke off the shell, yet the key was still stuck in the inner housing with a metal clip that is badly designed to not release the key with any kind of force. I saw previous revies about the key shaft falling out. So i guess they revised the design where it's never coming off unkess you break it. Too bad becaue I was hoping this would work.

433mhz perfect fob
I was able to pair this key with a tech2win app no problem. Works flawlessly great product. If you don’t have the means to pair it, or know someone too then don’t get it, but if you do it’s flawless

Sword in the Stone
The force needed to pull the new key blank out of the new fob is crazy. I honestly believed I misread the item description and that the fob had a fake key placeholder, instead. But I double-checked and, yes, this does have a removable key blank inside. You just have to be worthy and pure of heart to pull it from the fob. Once I finally got it, I was named King of Britain. Huzzah! 2/5. Don't spend your money on this. There are cheaper fob replacements on Amazon that surely work just as well without needing to develop a hernia to pull the blank out.

Wears out in a year or so
This was much cheaper than getting another key fob made when ours wore out. This one is wearing out and buttons are worn after only one year. Couldbuy a bunch more of these and still have it bless expensive than one original part
