I'm sure it will do the job, and be durable in use, but the pole seems a bit thin and the weight of the hook makes it a bit top-heavy and slightly unwieldly.

Bought so i can open my top windows without using a ladder, does the job perfectly! Seems to be well made, strong and is easy to use.

Perfect for reaching high window catches

Could be better if the wood is made of a solid wood.

Simple but useful! Once you get the hang of it, makes opening and closing the Veluxes a doddle. After some trial and error, I now use the wooden blunt end to close and lock the windows as I put a few scratches on the handle using the brass end of it, but no harm done!

I expected this to be as thick as the average domestic broom or mop. It's very narrow at just 2cm, which isn't mentioned in the description. This is very light to be used on opening and closing heavy velux windows so I doubt if it will last very long. I'm disappointed in the quality but I assume they're all similar on Amazon as none mention the thickness of the pole. Not what I expected for the money.
