Quality product at a fair price. Easily adjustable as my Murphy Bed did not originally have this style of legs. Instructions were clear and concise. Easy to follow and really appreciated the pattern that they included to make insulation and or measurements easier to do, this insured a smooth installation process. I greatly appreciate it would highly recommend this product.

The Murphy bed kit is well-made and complete. The best feature are the two installation manuals that guide you step by step. To do this project you will need, good tools, especially a table saw or circular saw with a straight guide, quality lumber, space to lay out the work and materials, and time, lots of time. This is not a weekend build project if you want to look professional and work correctly. The directions are really good, just take your time to triple-check the measurements. If you notice in the pictures we have the install manuals on our worktop. We used a high-quality cabinet paint and a cheap paint sprayer and it turned out fantastic. The cost of materials is a real shock when starting this project, coming in at around $500 just for the stain-grade plywood and frame materials. However, this Murphy bed will last 10-20 years and can be unassembled and moved. Win-Win! The true test is when your company sleeps on it and they slept well, the cabinet made no creaking noises and felt solid. Thriple win!

The bed went together pretty well, though the instuction leave a lot to be desired as far as information, but the hardware has proven to be far too weak for the gas pistons. The mounting plates for the top and bottom pivot points are made of mild steel that is too thin, and they have bent over just a few uses (see photo, the mount should be at 90 degrees to the wall/frame), to the point where the bed no longer closes properly (because the pistons, when fully extended aren't pushing far enough). It would have been great to know this prior to spending many hours building the bed, as I would have returned it or made modifications to strengthen the plates. As it is now, with no possibility to return a faulty product that failed outside of the "return window" we're having to fabricate new brackets out of a thicker hardened steel, and that puys it out of commission and adds many more hours and dollars to an incredibly frustrating and increasingly expensive project. It is also important to note that the pistons are mounted corrrctly, and the bending is not due to bottoming out the pistons, they still have at least an inch of travel left in the open position.

The kits not bad.Pay attention to your cuts and measurements because there are a lot of typos in the instructions.

We wanted a Murphy bed to save space and create a play room for our son. After pricing Murphy beds that were typically well over $1000, we bought this kit and built it ourselves. The instructions were clear and everything needed was included. We purchased the more expensive “finished” plywood which gave a much better end product. We even used some of the leftover plywood and made some trim for the front. We will be replacing another spare bed in our home with a second Murphy bed soon. After all lumber, we have about $650 in the bed. You can buy cheaper plywood and sand it I guess, but the finished plywood was worth it to us. Either way, it’s far less than half of the price of buying a new Murphy bed. We are pleased with the end result and love the space we gained.

Works well when finished but a major pain in butt to build this thing.

I'm still in the process of finishing our murphy bed/built in, but my brother in law slept on the bed for a couple of days and gave his sleep a thumbs up so I figured I can write a review now. For the instructions, I really didn't follow them word for word. I'm by no means a professional carpenter, but I've build enough cabinets that once I saw the cut list I pretty much knew what needed to be done. However as others have commented, I did notice a few mistranslation in the directions. Applying some basic reasoning you can figure out what needed to be done. But if they ever revise the instructions it should be proofread. I can't speak to the instructions for creating the frame on the ground then lifting it up, I didn't build the entire unit on the ground as instructed, instead I build the frame to the wall then attached the bed to the frame. I had to drill out a space for the brackets on the backside of the adjoining cabinets for the swivel mount. I slide the bed into place, braced it on one side, slide the mount in from the back on the other. As for the pistons, no issue. Once I added the weight from the mattress they bed went up and down with no issues. Bed stays down and is easy to pick up. Overall no complaints with the mounting system. Instructions could use some proof reading but if you own a table saw, you will have no problem figuring this out.

We built this Murphy bed and previously tried two other sets of Murphy bed parts. We were about to give up and just take out the bed but decided to give this set a try. I am so glad we did as it is amazing! Where the other parts we purchased from other sellers could not hold the weight and stress and would bend this one held up! It is easy to open and shut and requires no strength from the person to do so. It is very smooth, sturdy, and easy to install. So let me save you the trouble - start here! Choose this one! It will save you hassle and stress! It is a well made product and I wish I would have started here!

The value of this product is not worth the price of the product. It is a Chinese gas pump and a metal product, not a US product brand. Therefore, we have returned it. This supply is delivered by itself and you will have to return it yourself. Therefore, please read the rules before purchasing.
