Used it on my wall and like the outcome. Didnt need the plastic housing that attaches to the metal electric box, so I just took out the fuzzy things and glued them directly onto the wall plate. Works great, doesnt stick out on wall. Happy with outcome, see pic for reference

This brush wall plate has worked perfectly for me. I was able to install it without any difficulty. The position is very well screwed with 4 screws that come with it. This makes my setup look nice and neat.

Made hanging the TV on wall a nice and clean job. No mor unsightly cords! Easy to install.

- works good if you get the correct box. -standard low voltage wall box won’t work these are too big for those , instead go to your local home improvement store and get low voltage wall frames, they are metal with bendable tabs that keep them in place and there fit perfectly in them .

I looked high and low for a solution to pass a power cord through my screen-in lanai wall without causing undo damage to the screen (I sandwiched the screen between two of these and then cut a hole in the screen to pass the cable through). The built-in brush curtain makes it look more polished and also provides a modest barrier to any bugs that might want to crawl through from the outside. This application is not exactly what these are intended for, but it worked well and seemed to be better quality than the super-overpriced, cheap-plastic "as seen on TV" product that was made for that. And these were WAY cheaper than almost identical other models. I got 5 for the price that some sold for for 1. Now, of course, these are meant for one-sided, indoor wall installation using a standard power outlet/switch box. These would be great for that. The plastic is about the same quality as a typical switch/outlet plate, has a nice glossy black finish, and the interior brushes give a professional touch. A four-star or more product with a 5+ star price.

Just what i needed

Works fine, but the design of this item leaves the wall plate a bit extended from the wall. I've gotten ones in the past that were "all in one", and did not sit off the wall like this.

The brushed insert and plate are fine. But the wall plates ship with adhesive plastic film on them to "protect" them from scratching. Unfortunately when you peel off the plastic there is a bunch of adhesive residue that you have to remove. It comes off pretty easily with rubbing alcohol but the glossy plate is extremely prone to micro scratches, even from paper towel.
