I didn't want to be proven that an almost $30 serum would actually work for me because then that means I have to continue to include it in my budget as it's now a holy grail. I got this product because I occasionally use actives in my skincare routine (I alternate between lactic acid and Prequels exfoliating toner milk) and with the weather warming up and the UV increasing, my skin has started to show immense sensitivity and irritation despite wearing SPF 50 and reapplying as recommended. I use prequel redness reform face wash along with a mugwort+centella serum and that still wasn't enough so I knew I had to do something. The picture attached to my review shows the top as the before and the bottom as the after. This is only from 4 days of use!!! I know it probably doesn't LOOK like much but the biggest difference was how my skin used to feel and how it feels now. It's not sensitive to the touch and so dry its TIGHT. My skin loves this serum, it absorbs nicely and I like the finish it gives my skin too. As for the smell. it does have a strong mineral-like smell. I personally don't mind it at all, Im used to strong herbal scents from teas and herbal body products but I understand why so many have pointed it out. Anyways, thank you KraveBeauty(

Okay...I can't believe I'm saying this, but it really works for acne. At least for mine. I'm about to turn 41 and have suffered with chin acne for nearly a decade. I've tried way way way too many products, and most things make me break out more. I heard about this and the matcha hemp cleanser years ago and how they're good for sensitive skin and acne. I only just now decided okay well might as well give this a try...and I really should've tried it sooner. In just 2 weeks, I genuinely have seen an improvement in my troubled areas. It has not irritated my skin or caused additional breakouts. My skin feels very soothed. The product is light weight and not greasy. The only teeny tiny downside is that it smells like celery. My face now smells like celery. At first I did question if I could deal with that, because it felt quite strong. But tbh, within a couple days I stopped even noticing it. And the benefits totally outweigh the celery smell. I will 100000% be purchasing this again. Without question.

I never write reviews for products but after using this serum for 10 days I just had to spread the word. I struggled a lot with dark spots on my skin after a pimple would dissipate and it seemed no matter what I did or the products I used, my dark spots would not disappear. I was going to give up entirely on the spots until I saw an advertisement for this product. I decided to give it a try as a last resort and oh my gosh I wish I found this sooner!!!!!! I have used this products twice a day for the past 10 days and there is a very clear and noticeable change in my dark spots! They’re fading away so quickly thanks to this amazing product! It does have a smell to it but I don’t mind the smell since the smell reminds me of Tamarindo Mexican candy.

Honestly, it seems like a great product and my skin seems to tolerate and like it just fine. However, the smell is unbearable. It's so strong and it's the only thing I can smell once I put it on. It smells like walnuts and it's gotten to the point where I won't use it despite how great it could be for my skin. KRAVE Beauty, please make an unscented version of this product and I guarantee it would make your fanbase so happy.

It smells like sunflower seeds, which is nice to have a much more organic smell rather than medicinal smell from a skincare product. I think it's been helping my skin so far, and I don't need to use a lot of product to cover my face. It makes my skin look shiny in a pretty way, but also I think it's a little much on the oil part for my Very oily skin type but I suspect that's simply par for the course. I let it soak in a bit before putting a setting powder over it to help with that (and I generally don't like to look shiny either personally, but I see the appeal). It seems like a great product, that's recommended by Healthline.com btw, and It's one of my favorites I make sure to use day and night.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I’ve been a huge Krave fan for years. I’ve bought well over a dozen of these serums alone over the years. Now, I hadn’t repurchased this in about 3/4 years for no reason at all other than I guess I just forgot to or something came up. Never because I found something I liked more. This was my all time favorite serum, if that’s what you’d call it. It made my skin so soft and soothed and hydrated, especially in the throes of adjusting to tretinoin when everything besides water stung my skin. I was so happy when this showed up as a rec for me on here and I had to get it. They’ve changed everything about this. The bottle no longer feels luxurious and high quality, it used to be glass with a very nice cap. Now it feels like the cheapest, flimsiest plastic ever. Also, the formula has changed. It’s a lot thinner than it used to be, and the fragrance is different as well. I don’t know, it’s not the same. It’s a shame when something like this happens. They had a great thing goin for sure. I’ll have to get back to you on how it makes my skin react long term, not my initial impression isn’t great. UPDATES: NEW REVIEW DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! i knew this item felt light when i first purchased it, but i assumed it was because they changed from glass to cheap plastic bottles. this is not the case. the outer plastic bottle is just for show! none of the actual product is in the bottle! it’s in a tiny little balloon that is INSIDE the bottle you can’t see unless you unscrew it! you aren’t getting the amount the that you would if they actually filled that outside bottle. it’s a scam. i loved this brand for years and have repurchased their items over a dozen times. they’re still charging the same they did when they had FILLED, GLASS bottles!

UPDATE: I've gotten used to the smell and it ABSOLUTELY helps with your skin barrier! I've repurchased it and will keep this product in my arsenal of skincare products. The smell definitely threw me off the first time I pumped it out and applied it to my face. Thankfully, your face does not smell like that once the product has absorbed into your skin. It absorbs quickly. It is definitely expensive, but I have a damaged skin barrier right now and it’s very soothing and is definitely healing it. I have no sensitivity from this product. It leaves my skin hydrated before I even put on my moisturizer.

The smell is definitely not ideal! Throws me off every time. But the product itself seems great. I have quite sensitive skin, but this has reacted well and hasn’t caused any issues apart from drying out a little bit during the first few uses. Use with a good moisturizer and it helps maintain the hydration. I don’t find it sticky at all.

Used once and the smell is disgusting. Won't be using again.
