When tightening the clapping mechanism, the top of the clap is designed to go up, higher and higher as the clamp tightens. As a result the cosmetic/security cover does not fit. Specifically, the key turns a latch, the latch secures the cover, but there is not enough clearance for the latch to turn. On my first go around decided to get the clamp tight enough so I thought, this allows the clamp to sit lower. I could not move by hand, but after a trip through the car wash the crossbar moved by appx 30 inches. Also, the bottom of the cover had no clearance over the roof rail, so I used a utility knife to shave down the plastic creating clearance. The key hole is protected by a gate which typically has been difficult to open. The paper instructions were worthless, many pictures but the font was tiny, tiny and very hard to read, so did not even utilize. The rails are becoming some what universal but would not recommend this produce for GM vehicles (Chevy, GMC, Cadillac, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, Escalade, Escalade XL)

They do the job but only got a 4 star because one of the cover caps would not go on and it's a higher profile than I prefer.

A little hard to figure out how to install but once you figure them out you WONT be disappointed! They are good quality, look great on my suburban, and honestly great value for the money!

These look great and were pretty easy to get on. My issues are this, the plastic covers in the lock are crap. I had two blow off in one trip!!! Going to 3D print some new ones, but should have to.
