Awesome coffee machine. The coffee tastes amazing. Highly recommend.
I spent days and hours looking for a great coffee pot. I found it. This one is awesome. The coffee tastes amazing. I love the large clock, programming, strong feature, brew speed, etc. The coffee is very hot. The appearance on my counter is great. No leakage at all with this one. The inside water filter is amazing. It makes my coffee taste very good. 14 cup is a lot. I'm very happy that I bought this one. Highly recommend.

Great coffee maker
I bought this coffee pot not sure if I would like it or not, but I love it. It’s so easy to program and brews really great! I like the size of the coffee pot and how much it can make. I also like that it has a filter canister already that a plus for me. I recommend this coffee maker. It’s great.

Works great and is easy to use
Makes great coffee and is simple enough for my 73 year old father to use every morning without any issues. Our family loves our coffee and the 14 cup allows us to fill to on the go insulated cups and still be able to have enough regular cups for everyone in the morning. Its great.

Glutton for punishment
We have purchased three of these haunted coffee makers over the past three years. Why do we keep coming back?I blame it on low self-esteem.You see, I was raised in a household that believed good coffee was something only in Hollywood movies or fairy tales, that only rich folk enjoyed a well-brewed cup of joe.I also blame it on the fact that so many of the coffee makers on this site have such bad reviews—electrical failure, leakage, communism ... I'm afraid to try any of the others. It's a form of Stockholm Syndrome. Just ask Patty Hearst, she'll tell you all about Mr. Coffee and his myriad virtues. Why, my poor addled wife just peeked into the kitchen and, in a sudden onset old-time settler voice whispered, "Ya think it's ready, Pa?"I didn't have the heart to tell her that, no, Ma, the coffee'll never be ready.Don't get me wrong, when this coffee maker is brand new, it works great. In fact, it's the greatest three months of your life. And then the honeymoon comes to an abrupt end.You discover Mr. Coffee isn't who he pretends to be.All those late afternoons at work. Strange calls in the night. Odd perfume in his clothes. Then begins the dreaded drip of doom.At first, the pot can brew 14 cups in just a few minutes. But when the dreaded drip of doom sets in ... it takes closer to an hour.Yes, folks, he said an hour.An hour waiting on your precious morning fuel.An hour without coffee gives a man time to think. And, as we all know, time to think is not a good thing. Why, contemplation has led me to consider all sorts of crazy ideas, like taking up skydiving or crochet or even giving up coffee.Yes, my coffee maker has me actually considering giving up coffee. How long am I expected to remain in this abusive relationship? The only reason I'm writing this review is that it's been seven months since the last time we bougtht his exact model of coffee maker. The last four months of which have seen the rapid continual degredation of both the machine and my will to live.I am now faced with a choice: purchase yet another one of these faulty contraptions ... or take my chances with some other purveyor of hot beverage enslavement.Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of appliance manufacturers?Mr. Coffee knows.I hear the horses in the barn getting restless. Ma must be hitching them up for a wagon ride into town. She thinks I don't know she's been sneaking coffees from the McDonald's up the road.Damn, Mr. Coffee.Damn you to hell.

Nice and functional large coffee maker!
I procrastinated about buying a bigger Mr. Coffee because my husband loves couple cups of coffee every day. We retired the 5 cup Mr. Coffee and now this saves my time because I just make a whole 12 cups at one time! I chill the left over coffee for iced coffee or reheat it for him when he wants another cup. I love this size.

Not perfect, but does the job it is supposed to do
Overall, I really like the coffee maker. After using it for a while, there are a few things that I have found make the coffee maker not as ideal as I would like.A bit of background, this coffee maker is being used to replace a Keurig that is about 15 years old that had clogging problems when using a purchased coffee that was a bit more finely ground than I normally use. We would also occasionally use the Keurig to dispense hot water, but I was always told that it had a slight coffee taste. To avoid the slight coffee taste, I would have to thoroughly clean the Keurig before dispensing hot water. I also drink a larger cup of coffee every morning (about 16-20 oz), and most of the single-serve coffee makers don’t easily support the larger cups of coffee. Given that, I decided that a non-single serve maker was the way to go.I like this coffee maker because there is a timer built-in so I can put everything in the coffee maker the night before, set the timer, and wake up to hot, freshly brewed coffee. I also like the fact that it doesn’t automatically try and brew a pot of coffee if I forget to set everything up the night before. I also like the warming plate that will keep the coffee warm if I have a number of things to do first thing in the morning before I get a chance to enjoy my coffee. Another thing that I appreciate on this coffee maker is the built-in water filter. My water is not the best tasting unless it is filtered. I normally use a faucet filter to remove a majority of the not so great tastes from the water, but having an additional carbon filter makes me more confident that I am using good tasting water without resorting to using bottled water. There are a few things that I have issues with on the coffee maker. They aren’t deal breakers, but they do make my coffee preparation a little more difficult. First, the carafe is shaped so that if you are using the carafe to fill the water reservoir, it is not easy to get all the water from the carafe into the water reservoir. I have yet to be able to fully empty the carafe so I either need to pour the small amount of residual water into the sink or remember that there is a little water left in the carafe that might make a taste difference if I’m brewing a small amount of coffee. Next, I mentioned that I liked the warming plate to keep my coffee warm. Everything I read about this coffee maker said that it was supposed to automatically shut off if the carafe was empty or close to empty. Well, this morning I poured my cup of coffee and had a little bit left that I thought I would have a little later in the morning. I finished my big cup and went to add the remainder to my cup. Unfortunately, the water had evaporated from the carafe and I was left with scorched coffee reside while the warming plate was still on, keeping my scorched coffee residue warm. Maybe I missed a setting on the coffee maker, but without a paper manual included, I wouldn’t know for sure. I have also noticed that since the handle on the carafe is not solid, it tends to accumulate water in the handle and then leak onto the warming plate or wherever I set the carafe after washing. Something that probably isn’t an issue for most people, but caused me a trip to the store, many, many years ago, coffee makers used to come with a few coffee filters. I know that the gold-toned filter is supposed to be enough but with the finely-ground coffee I currently have, using just the gold-toned filter does pass a bit of ground residue through to the carafe. I wish that the coffee maker would have included a couple of coffee filters so I wouldn’t have had to make a trip to the store. The last issue, and for me the biggest issue, is that the hot water showerhead is located in an awkward position for me to pour the water into the reservoir as a left hander. Would it make a difference if I wasn’t a left hander? I don’t know as there are only left handers in the house.Even with the issues that I have, I would definitely purchase this coffee maker again.

No Thrills Coffeemaker
First thing I noticed when first run through of hot water was the overwhelming smell of plastic in the internal steam when lifting the lid. It dissipated somewhat after 4 runthroughs of the system. Add coffee and you'll never smell it. The lid also warps from flat to bulbous after your first run. The whole thing is made of plastic around a heater circuits and glass carafe. The Carafe is the Highlight of the whole thing. You'll never spill or dribble coffee again as it pours exactly where you want and thats it, no little dribbles of coffee all-over the counter. Next is the Coffee Tempature. 185⁰ is not hot enough and no adjustments. The Bold Coffee button is just that, a button and light. It makes NO difference in your coffees taste over 3 blind tests I did. This is overpriced for a basic "plastic" coffeemaker. One, that I can't get over the feeling, will fill my body with Micro-Plastics over time.
