I purchased this so I can stream my PS5, XBox Series X and Steam PC Games, directly to the Logitech G Cloud while in my home. This frees up the TV and allows for playing in locations other than the living room. For this, it works perfectly. If you want to stream games from a home console to this portable hand held console while at home, this is AMAZING! Streaming games while away from home, either directly from one of my consoles, or via XBox Cloud gaming, is a bit hit or miss. Super responsive twitch style games will be disappointing when your 4G/5G signal is patchy. With a good 4G/5G signal or from someone else's (good) WiFi, this can work really well. It could be a great option if you are away from home, but have access to a good WiFi connection. When away from home with poor internet, I just switch to playing emulated games. This is something it can do without a internet connection, loading emulators and games directly from an SD card (1TB max). Build quality is excellent, I'm really impressed with the screen quality and the feel of the controls. It feels like a high quality controller with a screen. Battery life is beyond good. They aren't exaggerating when they say it has a 12 hour battery life. Honestly, the only "disappointing" thing about the Logitech G Cloud Handheld, is the price. It ain't cheap at £329!

As a 40 something adult, I grew up in the era of the Atari/Master System / Megadrive etc remembering the days of buying a game based on box art to find out it was awful *cough* technocop... Anyhow, fast forward to modern times and whilst I left the console days behind just after the Super Nintendo and moved to Amiga, then PC, I have had an XBOX (except the first one!) since, and have subscribed to the game pass to benefit the PC use as well as the XBOX. What I found, was, with a growing family, time to game became less and less... Especially using the TV, so enter the G Cloud... OK< prior to this I have dabbled with Odin's and Anbernics/Powkiddy retro units... Cloud Streaming - YES Retro gaming (google it, it's easy to do) - YES Comfortable - YES So the streaming works both in that you can sign in using your XBOX Game Pass account and play many cloud streamed games (there are a lot, and constantly more being added). And also, you can set up your home XBOX to 'stream' so you can play the games that are not on game pass, by using your home XBOX - brilliant. Cons - You do need a good internet connection, after all it is a streaming device first and foremost, and yes from time to time there is a glitch here and there during gameplay but ultimately nothing is ever flawless with technology, and for the main, this has been an outstanding purchase. Not to mention, for those retro console lovers that is all 'offline' so works perfectly! Battery life has been mentioned before, it's absolutely solid! So I would say, if you are thinking about getting one, go for it, these have become more and more popular recently, and rightly so!

Frustrating review to leave. Lets do the good first, before we talk about the bad... The good. The hardware, for what its designed, is bang on! Lightweight, ideal screen size, and a killer battery life. Overall 'feel' is very good and immediately you are enjoying the experience when setting it up. Screen is vivid, and the snapdragon 725G is snappy enough that you're not waiting in-between button presses. The bad. XBox game pass (Cloud gaming) is SO inconsistent. Even with a good internet connection, and 5GHZ MESH connections at home, its was a stuttery mess. All the settings on both the device and the router suggested strong connections, but it was to no avail. Steam link was better, and the challenges I faced were more specific to Steam link - but it was the XBox Cloud service I had my eye on. I even read that you need to download the 'new' XBox cloud app from the play store, which I did, but it probably improved the experience by around 20% or so. It was still unplayable. (For context, I've had similar issues with the XBox cloud app using my Samsung Ultra Tab 8 - so its definitely XBox being the issue) I didn't try the Geoforce cloud service but I do believe its much better. The problem with this is the cost, and the fact you're likely paying to play games you have already paid for and own anyway. Android games run well, but I don't play many of the AAA title android games, and I hear the aging 725G struggles with them in places. In summary - great device but with a slightly old chipset, which is let down by the streaming services themselves more than Logitech's effort at building the ideal portable unit.

I absolutely love this thing the screen is absolutely beautiful and the build quality is superb however it was supposed to come with one free month of gfroce now but when I try to redeem it all it keeps saying is oops we had to pause it so I have no idea what that's all about but it also came with 3 months Xbox game pass and that works fantastic gameplay is also fantastic but because it's a cloud gaming device you must have good internet overall I'm very happy with this device and I've had many hours of relaxing gameplay I'd definitely recommend but not at the full asking price wait until Amazon put it on offer as they put it on offer a lot

The Logitech G Cloud feels fantastic in the hands. Ergonomically it’s one of the best feeling handheld devices on the market with a wonderful 1080p 7 inch display. However you can’t get enjoyment out of the device if after the first system update it immediately gets stuck into a boot loop & due to Logitech not providing the firmware via their website, you can’t get out of it. The device is rendered inoperable & needs to be returned. A number of people have reported similar issues specifically with this latest system update so it’s disappointing to see that as of June 23rd 2024, the issue remains.
