Purchased this data sim card to use in our wifi router. The perfect must have solution for our business when the internet provider drops service and you need to keep the credit card terminals running for transactions. Seamless transition from internet over cable to 4g internet service with this data sim card. Just what we were looking for, works perfect in our 4g router. The data sim card plans are extremely affordable, many plans to fit your budget as well as customer service via email is fast and prompt. Very happy so far with this service providers data sim card. Update 11/27/25 We are on our second purchase of data and everything is operating smoothly. Our business has lost local internet service many times over during business hours, but thankfully our sim card router with the Spectrum Smart sim card data kept us up and running for credit card transactions. Smooth automatic transition from cable service outage to cell data transmission using the Spectrum Smart Data Card is perfect for our business all year long!

This is a data only sim; no voice. Works very well. I use this with a Netgear MiFi to replace the defunct WiFi tech in my car so my car’s live data navigation works. I also can connect other devices to the MiFi. While in use, I’ve seen it connected to T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon in Houston. I tried it for a month for $10 for 1GB, then I extended my plan to 12 months for $60 for12GB. Very cost effective! There are more than 10 plans available. To activate: 1) Follow instructions for your device to determine the correct size you need to trim the sim to, and 2) follow the instructions on spectrumsim.com for your device to activate it on your device. And their customer service is great, they responded within 24 hours as promised. I contacted them because I wanted to switch plans after my first one ended, and they gave me precise instructions which worked the first time. Update June 2025: I renewed for more gigabytes for a year, now that I have had a chance to use it in different ways. I now also use my mifi hotspot for connecting my laptop to work from while travelling. It's so useful to have a secure device that isn't tied to just one carrier, coupled with a sim card that can and does connect to the best available connection from AT&T or T-Mobile or Verizon. I traveled to an area where AT&T has weaker connections and the mifi with the Puffin sim card just switched automatically to the available network, which was Verizon in tha area. You can renew or upgrade your data plan easily from the SpectrumSim website, too. As far as I was able to find, their plans were the most competitively priced on Amazon with the added benefit of not beingimited to only one of the three major carriers. Note: Your device needs to be unlocked to do the same. But even if your device is tied to only one of those networks, you'll still get a competitively priced data plan with this sim card.

Had some trouble setting it up on my Laptop with a SIM slot. After a few days of working with their support, it turns out it was on their end. They admitted their mistake, and promptly fixed it. Now my laptop is online and working great, so I'm ready for no Wifi now with built in cellular in my Laptop. Very happy so far, only thing that could have been better was the activation issue on their end, but it was resolved after a few days. Seems like a great deal at a great price.
