Mac users that have relied on dongles since Thunderbolt changed the world can expect a pleasant replacement to those pesky and temperamental rectangular USB-dongles. Practically, this is a plug-and-play type of interface; it features a light up LED let users know when it's "switched on", per se. The base version of this USB dongle comes equipped with just about enough USB ports for the typical user. The dongle itself has a good weight to it and feels like you have paid for a sturdy piece of equipment. In layman's terms, yes - I think you get value for money. You won't need to move and adjust the dongle in weird ways to get any USB cables slotted in and out. As a mac mini user, this dongle sits just under my monitor, at the centre of my setup, and all USB ports are always facing me. I also adore the 45 degree layout. Ergonomically speaking, it just make sense.

nice little unit does what its suposed too

When this first arrived, I connected the hub to a known, working USB-C port in the back of my iMac. That port works fine for data transfer and charging either my iPhone or iPad or other devices. Once I'd connected the hub, I used my normal charge cable into the data USB-C on the hub. OK it worked to my iPhone, transferring data and charging the device, but a very slow charge rate for USB-C. It did not work with the iPad. No charging, no data transfer. I then tried some other USB-C devices. It wouldn't charge my headphones, it did charge my AppleTV remote; it would not transfer data to/from my radio. Overall I conclude that the port on the hub is not a fully valid USB-C port. When it arrived I had gone online to get the improved warranty advertised within the packaging. Failure -- the website does not exist; the QR code in the manual leads to the same non-existent web site. All the web page says is that I could buy that web address and create my own site if I wanted to (and paid their fees). So the suggestion to contact their support department is a failure too. Overall, very disappointing.

Good quality multi docking hub I use for video and webcams and excellent for the price.

The ports deliver decent 10gbps speeds but why on earth would you downgrade the sd writer?? its 4x slower than your older model, bit silly imo

This docking station has a great range of ports. The triangular shape means that it actually sits on my desk much better than other hubs I have tried, no more slipping around. And all the ports that you need to plug into are easily accessible on the same side of the device so you don't have to turn it to find a spare slot or have cables going in multiple directions. Much more office friendly than my old hub. I have moved my old flat hub to my travelling kit. While this new one has a better set of ports, the shape and size mean that you probably don't want to use it as a portable device. It's not heavy or extremely bulky, but if your main purpose is travel, you would be better off with a smaller device.

Good solid adapter for Surface Laptop.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Neat little product, seems well made and helps me to tidy my desktop while giving me just one USB C cable to power and link up my laptop, webcam, speakerphone, mouse/keyboard, monitor, printer, etc.

Many options but charging was really slow

I've been using the intpw P9 USB-C Hub for a while now, and it's been a great addition to my setup. It feels solid and well-made thanks to the aluminum body, and it's compact enough to toss in my laptop bag without adding extra bulk. One of my favorite features is the 4K@60Hz HDMI output. It connects to my external monitor with a sharp, smooth picture, making it perfect for work and streaming. The 100W PD charging also works well, so I can keep my laptop powered while using all my other devices. The mix of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports is really practical. I use the faster ports for external drives and the other ports for my keyboard and mouse. The SD and microSD card readers are a nice bonus, especially if you work with photos or videos. Setup couldn't have been easier—it was truly plug and play. I've used it with my MacBook and iPad, and everything connected right away without any issues. What impressed me most is how reliable it's been. Even with multiple devices plugged in at the same time, I haven't experienced random disconnects or overheating. It just works, which is exactly what you want from a USB-C hub. For the price, I think this hub offers excellent value. If you're looking for a reliable way to add more ports to your laptop or tablet, this is definitely worth considering.

This hub is perfect in nearly every way. Sharp looking design. Plenty of ports and connection types. I have one serious quibble with it that forces me to give it 3 stars instead of 5 and that is that external hard drives connected to the hub do not reconnect to my computer (a Mac Mini M4, in this case). Instead, the green light on the hub flashes until I unplug one of my external drives from it and then reconnect it. Then all of my external USB hard drives connect where none of them would before. I haven't found a fix or workaround to this issue. If I cannot, I'll likely have to look for another hub solution that doesn't have this issue. A huge miss for an otherwise outstanding product. UPDATE: After posting my initial review, the team at intpw reached out to me, expressing concern that I wasn't 100% satisfied with my purchase and saying they wanted to make it right. After working out with their technical leads that I was going to need a powered hub, I was appreciative and figured that would be the end of it. But it was not. The fine folks at intpw weren't satisfied with just diagnosing my problem. They took it another ten steps forward and offered to provide me with a powered hub that would meet my needs. Up until I actually received the hub from them, I was skeptical that they would actually follow through. But they did, and the replacement hub they sent me (moswl #B0DT6Z3R4F) works absolutely perfectly! No more stalled out external hard drives, even upon a reboot of my system. I couldn't be happier. It's refreshing in this day and age to encounter a company that stands by their products and values their customers so strongly and passionately. It's sadly a rarity anymore, but intpw does it with enthusiasm and sincerity and have made me customer for life. Thank you!
