Let me say I was extremely hesitant to try this product. I have a 150 lb Caucasian Ovcharka breed dog who sheds her double coat twice a year. Even with regular brushing, the amount of fur she sheds is insane! I have a furminator grooming brush and she does not like it at all. I am only able to groom her with a cheap hairbrush for humans because her fur is so thick. Based on other reviews and the price, I gave it a go and I was amazed. First of all, it made brushing her simple. The product seemed to condition her fur almost like a hair conditioner on humans. She normally sheds late winter and late summer. I used this late winter at the first sign of shedding, just waiting for a huge furry mess. It never came! The product does not stop the shedding, but when used every 3rd day as instructed l, it made the shedding seem much more balanced. Huge clumps of hair did not come out as they have in the past. And I did not notice nearly as much fur around the house, nor did I see her grooming more regularly. My favorite thing about the product was that she is definitely more comfortable when I brush her. It has a light, pleasant fragrance and between that and some waterless shampoo, it keeps my house from having that dog smell. She does not seem to be as itchy either or sho any signs of skin irritation. Her fur is so much softer too and it looks like she just got home from a groomer whenever I used it! Overall, it seems very effective controlling the shed and I have a beautiful, happy pup by using it!

It really deshed my dog! He is especially shedding near his neck and this seems to bring the loose hair out of the coat when I brush him out. He is a pit bull mix with a thick coat. Great product!

This product is not very effectiv. I have 2 goldens and it didn't work on them

Purchased for a 1 yr old Huskey. Huskies are known for their massive undercoat & ability to shed all year around. So I am constantly brushing. Multiple times a day. And bathing a hyper dog with a thick undercoat is no small feat. It takes FOREVER! In an attempt to de-shed and reduce the number of baths I have to give my pup, I purchased this on sale to try. First, the smell is amazing. Think coconut creme. And it increases the time between baths because she doesn't smell "doggy". It does appear to help with the shedding...I use the spray with an undercoat tool and they work well together. I still have to be pretty consistent with the brushing, but less and less fur is coming out during the brushing sessions. I really do like the product and my pup doesn't seem to mind it either. Win/Win in my book!

I purchased the leave in spray. At first it seemed to work well while I was brushing her to remove shedding fur and dirt, and smelled pretty nice. My pup woke me up early the next morning itching so badly. I had to wipe her down multiple times with a soaked washcloth to ease the itching. I also noticed she was shedding even more, although I had been brushing her and keeping her shedding relatively under control. If your dog has sensitive skin, I would not purchase this product. I hope my girl is okay and that it was just itching. I'll have to keep an eye on her to make sure her skin isn't irritated.
